If you brought the drums to the front, instead of the guitar, this would be even better. Or do waht you're already doing with the guitars being panned equally but try to keep the drums a bit centered.

I feel like you, or your band, are at your, or their, best when going the more slow tempo route. The part after about 5:30 was great.

This needs to be updated badly, I've been away but am working on a new project and need to also finish up my other two up there as well.

I also have designed everything on that page, so if anybody needs any art done then they can contact me.

So do you have a kill date to stop posting this? You've been posting it every day since October. Everybody has seen it, everybody had heard it, everybody has gave feedback, like that more do you want? Everything that has been said about it already has. Idk, it just seems like with these threads the really great releases come fast, get some feedback, and then leave after a while. Then on the other side, the really just straight up boring albums stick around forever posting the same thing day after day after day. Can somebody explain this to me?

yes, when i make something new.

>Idk, it just seems like with these threads the really great releases come fast, get some feedback, and then leave after a while.
if you want, you can post these really great releases so that they can stick around for longer and be seen by more people, along with the people that post every day.

>the really just straight up boring albums stick around forever posting the same thing day after day after day. Can somebody explain this to me?
Not all of us can make something new every month. Of course, I know that here you need to have quite a larger output than a regular artist to be able to keep people's attention, but not all of us can or want to rush out too much music. Also for a lot of people here it's their only way to get visibility. I have other ways to get listens, but none of them have come close to being as good as these threads, so I feel the need to post here every thread.

But, just for you, I'll stop posting until I make something new.

>it's their only way to get visability

But see I still don't understand this argument, as these threads are the same people recommending the same people over and over. I can literally look at a post, look at the number of replies, and know exactly which other day after day posters responded to it. These threads are so predictable and sterile, even when super great realeases get posted they hardly get any attention because these threads straight up aren't for that. They are for people who come to post their music every day and recommend the same people who are doing the exact same thing, anybody outside of that will get swept under the rug. These people aren't getting jack shit in terms of visability on their music because the only people that see it are the same, there are so many other ways to promote yourself. Register under BMI, send to college radio, send to music blogs, all this stuff is so easy and effective. I still just can't understand how these threads do anything for you besides stoking your ego by having the exact same people "dude recc lmao" every day. It's the same shit.

Alright guys, question of the day:

Who is your music popular with?
>Random basement dweller Sup Forumstants or edgelord hipsters?
Do your parents/friends/peers like or support what you're doing?

I don't think I could share my music with my friends, I don't think they would see me in the same way.

I am considering showing my family, if only to stop them from believing that I just spend all my free time jacking off

I rarely have privacy in this house so when I record harsh noise, my parents know it. They don't really care much except that they don't get what's enjoyable in it.

my parents get mad when i make harsh noise so I have to wait till im home alone

Description:

The title of Good Boy's new album, A Mouth Full, is quite prophetic of what it has to offer. Dizzying, disorienting synthesizers and vocoders, dwindling guitars, and colorful, terse bursts of energy, composed and comprised aside George's soft spoken, illusory-filled lyricism. Quite the mouthful indeed.

Support, scrobble, or review on RYM. Any feedback of any kind would be greatly appreciated. And George give some love. Thank You. :)

I don't think I have a demographic because I have >300 listens but I can only guess its random Sup Forumstants and the two people I've shown
I really dig this, was expecting memerap from the cover
some of this is really beautiful stuff, I like the 2nd track a lot, mainly because I love piano based music but it's all really great.
finally some quality mathrock here, I love this man.
solid noise, I can dig it.
can confirm, am neet, like your music

little question to bump the thread
what is your drug of choice for making music?(if you have one that is)
for me, lsd and cocaine but pot gets the juices flowing too

>dudeweedlmao
the closest I ever got to drugs was taking a small sniff of a joint before my first Sunn O))) concert.
Otherwise, I never smoke, rarely drink and I doubt I will try anything out only for the le enhanced musig experience.

honestly it's a double edged blade, uppers help me keep time but I get too confident in my playing and I'll start to mess up. I don't do them often enough to develop a habit but I enjoy them a lot and busting out cocaine at a band rehearsal is a lot of fun

cigarrettes usually help creating ideas
i use weed, lsd and popper but never make music while on em

>popper
like amyl nitrate? the stuff you use to loosen your bum for sex?

yeah, no homo tho

Isn't cocaine a bit too expensive to just share it with your bandmates at a rehearsal?

it can be but I only play with 2 other people, and often times it's just me and the drummer as our bassist lives in another town.

If you want to get played on college radio and start tracking charting then that's what you have to do, I don't see anything wrong with that

i don't use any, though that's because I am in a rural area, and there's nothing around here that I'd be interested in trying

Speaking of all this, my next album is definitely fit to send to music blogs and the like. I've temporarily gone a lot poppier. wish me luck

good luck, any blogs in particular you'll be sending off to?

this sudden inspiration to make pop music came about just recently and I haven't done the research for that, so no. I'm around 3/4 finished with the album.

Good, but the sound quality is horrid. Please remake this album with better equipment. The musical ideas are solid but it just doesn't sound good.

cheers

why is it that the same few bandcamps always get the same few replies from the same few people?

Well, I feel that, for real, your work deserves the constant reccing. I encourage you to keep it up. I think your music could mean a lot to a lot of people; they just haven't found it yet.

And I am a little frustrated with how my new album turned out compared to what I was envisioning. It's got some parts I still feel proud of though.

I think I may be personally moving on from focusing on music so much all the time though. I've felt more called lately to just read a lot and write down my thoughts and listen to what people say and parse through a lot of literature, as well as the Bible. I won't rant here, there's a lot I'm leaving out because it's a little hard to put into words.

Because BC threads are nothing but a circle jerk between like 6 people and everybody knows it

I'm not one of those people and it's quite annoying, I feel like this is a great opportunity for people to get noticed and get some peer review but instead the only replies I might ever get is a "recc" and how often do those get fucking clicked?
