Nice aztec name.

What's the difference between a Carbine and Assault rifle?

The length

Only?

Yes look at the photo They fire the same round, same mechanics inside, only the length of the barrel changes

Is he white?

Always thought it had something more.

For US standards, yes.

F88 Austeyr (Steyr AUG variant)

Soon to be completely replaced by EF88 Austeyr (much of the army is already equipped with this)

EF88 with standard attachments.

>"The C7 and its variants have been adopted as the standard issue rifle by the militaries of Canada, Norway (Special forces only), Denmark and the Netherlands. Following trials, C8 variants were used as personal weapons by the United Kingdom Special Forces, Royal Military Police Close Protection Teams and other specialist users. It has been used in various combat operations by Canadian, British, Norwegian, Dutch and Danish Forces in Afghanistan and Iraq."
must be pretty ok

AK5C

*pew pew*

Is that an old version in the pic? Looks way too bulky and long to work as a modern service rifle, as they basically aim towards the rifles being able to be used in lots of roles. As a DRM, as standard close-ranged but also in tighter and faster areas like building interiors, so as an SMG would. Certainly Norway's SF would be using a much smaller variant, or maybe not. I don't know if Norway's SF do anything.

Thought it was a meme.

The clone weapon

Be France
Use German rife

No it's the standard rifle. There is no real complaints about it, so it must work well

I am pretty jelly you get AUG's though

Totally not a g36 clone

Maybe the lady is small and the angle of the pic makes it look non-adaptably elongated. Must be fine.

Good ol' RK 62

They already went to an american court about that
Its not a G36 clone in any way sorry lad

>His country's gun is not a rapist elf

RK-95tp is one of the best things I have ever held in my hands. Every other AK variant can just lick her soles and be happy that they are allowed to.

It's a full sized Assault Rifle, so yeah. Most countries are or have moved into Carbines. Brits with the L86, you with Aug, Americans with the M4, etc... It's a bit odd how we haven't followed suit yet.

We probably are planning on it, but like with anything in our military it'll take 3 times as long as it should.

Lies you filthy Mexican

nope
telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/germany/11420627/German-army-used-broomsticks-instead-of-guns-during-training.html

Why tho?

AK74M

no money for good guns

cry all you want lad

How's type 89

You guys use HK's no?

He is just baiting

HK G36 was mistake

Overheating problems.

We had the same problem with the MD97. Thankfully they barely use it and they already replaced it.

RK 95 TP and Rk 62

pic related served from 1952, made in Spain
got replaced as the main rifle by G-36E in 1999

is that your normal camnet colour?

Nice MP44.

Great guns
i heard a story that a part of the gun was modified to be used as beer opener since soldiers tried to use the cartridge holder for that purpose

>post yfw mexican guns start replacing german guns in the military all around the world

We got leaf. Buff said

...

>Australia uses an Austrian gun

Wasn't that the Galil?

VERY good choice

But seriously, it's a great gun.

Fun fact: The guy that worked on the Stg-45 prototype would later work on Spain and help develop CETME.
So yeah, ofc its derivative from the Stg-44.
Its the grandaddy of assault rifles after all.

I think I'm going to be issued an M4 in the fleet but I do like the M16A4 so far, haven't tried the former yet either so I'm excited to try it out

What about standard machine guns?

Actually it's just an MG42 with a lighter stock, NATO caliber and a bit lower rate of fire.

No need to fix something that isn't broken, this weapon has more than proven its worth.

...

Minimi and MAG.

Best rifle itt

Looks like old shit

kalashnikov type rifle with milled receiver master race

>dat MILES gear
>dat BFA
Why post this shit?

Oh no here's your new best rifle itt

>AEK

Isn't the AK-78M?

ahem

Pretty nice.

>tfw your country produces nukes and ICBMs but not a quality assault rifle

you can't produce quality nukes either anymore

a lot of people from countries with no mandatory conscription that love their assault and battle rifles lol. most of us kept looking forward to having to ditch the goddamn G3

M16 family is decent no?

...

just fuck my shit up

They attract Bees.

im a pajeet in burgerland laddies

Oh. Idk much about the INSAS

Bastard child of FN FAL. Lesser known the better.

Actually looks like a mix of AK with FAL.

Greece has mandatory conscription?

When will Britain replace its L85s and with what?

Pic related, we actually use both Tavor and modified M-16.

AUG requires disassembly to change the ejection port though, same as the FAMAS

can't swap shoulders in a firefight unless you want to melt your face

Karabinek wz. 96 Beryl

It's IA2 now.

Pffffffffffffffflllllraaaarppp yyyeaaaah sorta semi maybe correcterino m8. Requires a left handed bolt anyways so it can extract properly to a specific side. Assuming that this extremely specific circumstance ever arises, where the AUG is being used, the version that doesnt take NATO mags (Left and right handed options available): where one soldier has been hit, is unable to fight, and drops his rifle, and another dude is on patrol with him, somehow loses his rifle as well (Only Padres patrol without a gat, and they dont participate anyway) , and is near the other bloke, AND they both do not share the same dominant hand, THEN;

1) You can bear through the ejections by simply moving your face slightly away from the port/hardening up
2) Plenty of other body positions to allow you to shoots and toots on something otherwise obscured by obstacles/terrain due to your dominant/firing hand
3) Any half decent digger could fire his rifle ambidextrously, atleast enough to get him out of a rough stint/back to his rifle/out of the firefight (If one blokes hit its more than likely going to be a break contact anyways)

But yeah, definitely still a negative point, just not a massif one

...

this sounded way less obscure in my head holy shit im retarded

Why aren't they loaded? For what porpoise is it done

Who started the meme of taping magazines together and when did it start? I never saw it until a few years ago and now I see it all the time in pictures.

The A2 is pretty good desu

It only took the krauts and tens of millions of pounds to unfuck it though

There is no porpoise. They just forgot it. Proof that women shouldnt be in a job like this.

G36KA4

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jungle_style_(firearm_magazines)
It's not a meme tho, it's pretty good.

no worries

but situations happen, like in city fighting, where two dudes get stuck behind the same cover and need to fire from opposite shoulders to avoid exposing themselves too much

AK-4

M-16

is it bcoz you can lift the bullets off dead russian corpses and plug 'em in nilly-willy?

thanks user, interesting to see how early it developed

AR-15 family has gone through ~50 years of development and as such is quite a refined piece of equipment. It also has quite a record from the actual battlefield unlike many other rifles. Yes, it has some design flaws but also advantages: Modular, lightweight, fairly accurate and easy to shoot rapidly.

The "stoner action" (it's not really a direct impingement system) is actually a design masterpiece: simple, offers low recoil and is easy to tune for different setups.

I wouldn't call AR-family "not a quality rifle"...

It's just not unique and cool enough for call of duty gamers

he said in he was a Pajeet living abroad in America
