If somebody doesn't choose Octopus' Garden and I mean real soon I'm gonna shoot up the place! (Or If You've Got Trouble)
it's pretty great but yellow submarine is the superior Ringo song
While I agree that it's a good vehicle for Ringo (No pun intended) the song was actually written by John Lennon while Octopus' Garden was actually written by Ringo.
I know it's not written by Ringo but let's be honest, songwriting wise, octopus' garden is a weak entry on Abbey Road. Don't get me wrong though, Ringo is the patrician choice
all my lovin
He's an averagely talented knobhead.
Take it back
How can you like him? Arrogant and nowhere close to the musician or songwriting talent the other 3 had
She Came in through the Bathroom Window
Its either this or You Never Give Me Your Money
His drumming on She Said She Said is just phenominal though and it really made me change my opinion of him as a drummer. He only had a 4 piece kit and he pulls put arguably one of the best drum performances in a Beatles song, ever, which i know isnt saying that much but it's still a great example of what he was capable of when using so little.
Gave it a quick re-listen, I'll admit that's some damn tight drumming.
I don't know, I just hate his character so much it overshadows his contributions. I guess if he was genuinely weak he wouldn't have stuck around in the largest band in the world at the time.
Ringo Top 2:
Octopus's Garden
Don't Pass Me By
that's about it
Revolution 9
I respect that, im not trying to say youre wrong. I didnt like him for a long time either, i thought he was useless, but he does have his golden moments like She Said She Said. I quite like his vocals on with a little help from my friends too.
He is extremely overshadowed by the rest of the band though, and I like Ringo's solo stuff the least. I totally understand where you are coming from
THE FACT THAT
its Two of Us
The fact that so many autists spam this copypasta shows how far baiting is from becoming a serious art form
