Everyone has been in your position that ends up doing anything, embrace your naivety and make mistakes. No one is going to hold them to you forever, unless you royally fuck up

Anyone an actuary and can splain how they got started? Probably the coolest job that pays well, predicting the future to a degree of certainty.

I'm pretty ok with where I'm at overall. I'm making less than I should but my rent is dirt cheap and I like where I'm living. I've got my 2bed nerd cave to myself and I'm basically 20 minutes to an hour (or less) from any event in Michigan worth going to.

It's a pretty good reason if you're participating in clubs related to your major, interning, and getting experience other wise.

Fuck off m8, it's perfectly acceptable to live off of scholarships and grants while you're going through college.

Yep, still do just as much work, more threats.
Was even a tier 3 which was highest, all the same now.

No man. Everyone is expected to live their life just like that guy did. His way is the only acceptable method.

Being this much of a newfag

My plan was history because i love it and become a teacher. When i first started around 6 years ago. My intro to teaching class instructor had said that teaching jobs were going to be created because how important education is now. Also im fucken lazy so teaching is easy job if you do it right. As far as i know historian is probably the only job one could get. But not to sure

Nobody here claims to make six figures, the highest salary ITT is 85k, which is plausible.

Debt is bad if you let in rack up. My current gf is in really bad debt so i have to handle most the credit stuff because her credit is bad.

Gee I wonder why

Stop nitpicking, you know exactly what I mean

We are a bunch of fucking liars, doesnt matter if we're lying about rich while being poor or vice versa

I am I start my 4th semester of school September but just in general I think people should minimize debt to guarantee success. Collecting debt is short term thinking, using the money as a springboard is long term - hence getting a trailer for my truck and eliminating the 500+ cost of rent for me (I'm in California)

All debt should be treated as bad and only used as a means to an end

You feel me bro. You really do.

job - early retirement
Major - something I never used in real life
Salary - was £45K when i retired, but now on 50% pension, so £22.5K (but no mortgage so...)
age - 52.

Precisely. Why DON'T they participate?

Since there's no IRL shame for them for to ANONYMOUSLY post their salary for comparison, maybe to find out if they're getting paid enough in their field for their age, which would be helpful, why wouldn't they? That's the whole point of these threads

Certainly not bragging for attention. Because why the fuck would you care about some anonymous wanker's opinion on your person? you're never going to talk to them again, at least you won't know it's them

The job is so boring, that everyone at my office has to drink coffee every 2 hours to stay awake & alert on the job.

Sitting on my ass all day and drinking coffee has made me into a fatass.

I live in a shit apartment that's infested with cockroaches.

My buddy from high school is a police officer; he's fit, happy, and girls love him.

This world is not fair.

Where the hell do you guys live where life expectancy is so low?

Not that user, but those on the lower half of the intellectual curve breed early even in the more civilized parts of the world.

It's not the life expectancy, it's Britain's highest teen pregnancy rate in Europe

Also if you've got enough money to last you for the rest of your life and you decide to STILL work till the day you croak, you're retarded

I'm planning on retiring at 35

>Precisely. Why DON'T they participate?
For the same reason straight people don't participate in gay porn threads

>Derp dee doo I make no money and haven't accomplished anything, but I want to hear about other people's accomplishments

No I do not enjoy it. I hate ladders, and I am scared almost everyday. I weld alot and Im afraid of fucking fire. I do jobs sometimes in the LA Jungle area that Im constantly worrying about where to park where to get a crane in where to blah blah not to mention the safety issues we have to constantly be around. When work is slow I dont get my 40. I constantly have to find work to keep guys busy. I just took this job for the money. I do NOT enjoy my job. The anxiety and stress doesnt justify what I get paid. Id rather get paid less working on the ground or something not dangerous.

I'm aware of this, but even below 65 is considered early retirement where I'm from (Norway). Most people work until they are a little above 70.

As for children, people here rarely have babies before the age of 25, and that's in the most remote, rural areas you could imagine. I'm turning 30 this year and less than 10% of the people I went to high school with have kids yet.

Start your own business

Go back to school

Find a new job working on HVAC somewhere else

There's nothing wrong with making good money if you earn it, but I can't imagine it's all that bad

Refrigerators. Same principle.

Definitely understand that, before I started going back to school I was a carpenter. There were a lot of close calls with my fingers, going up high ladders, and a few times I needed stitches, or hurt myself really bad.

Yeah, couple times Ive needed stitches, an Iron worker fucked up a refrigerant line I got a reigerant burn on my hand. Almost fell a few times off of like 30 story buildings. I just past couple weeks Ive been almost shaky and irritable when Ive been going to work because Im almost like I cant bring myself to do it...

Also - I still mostly enjoy it. It was a 2 year old company when I started, so I used to have a lot more freedom. They've brought on a highly experienced dev exec to run the show and things have been getting less exciting. I'd rather be an independent game dev, but risk and $..
