I upgraded my computer from Windows 7 to 10 a few months ago. Then I decided to reset the computer 3 days ago. The reset percentage was stuck on 17% for two days straight, so I got frustrated and turned it off. When I turned it on, this message popped up. Mind the dirty monitor.
>An operating system wasn't found. Try disconnecting any drives that don't contain an operating system. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart.
No fucking clue. I never checked the specs on this thing.

My disc drive isn't working.
>is technologically illiterate
No need. I told you what it said in the OP.
Never.
Alexander Howard
>>is technologically illiterate - Ok, Google. How to enter bios?

Unless the storage device is fucked (i.e. your harddisk, SDD, doubt that). Cuzzz
It appears your OS has become corrupt. You said you were 'resetting' it and you had to interrupt that. Now, I don't know if you were erasing files or not. (basically a fresh reset discarding files). If you were, then just reinstall the OS from a DVD or USB. (You will have to change your boot order youtube it).
If you have files you want to recover, boot in to a live linux OS (see youtube) see if anything has remained. (Mind you, you will need another computer and some blank media for that)
Carson Robinson
unplug any usb or cd
Isaiah Clark
Try unpkugging the wardrobe and plugging it back in. Remove any external hard drives or USB memory sticks. Take out any CDs. Boot up the computer and listen closely to the hard drive. Make sure it is booting up. That's the easiest way to explain it right now. Ur hard drive is probly fucked. Either it's not spinning up or reading the OS. Or ur OS MBR is corrupted.
Luis Gray
I'm working on a detailed guide. Keep bumping this guys. Thanks.

Thank you.

No operating system found means exactly that. Windows is probably fucked up beyond repair. If you don't have an install dvd then you need another working computer. If that's not an option just go buy a Windows install dvd at best buy or something.
2) Setting up >install utorrent >go to pirate bay link and click the magnet link that says "get this torrent" and select open in utorrent >wait for it to download (4GB so it might take a while)
3) Making a bootable flash drive >plug in flash drive >open rufus >select the drive from the first drop down menu >go to where it says MSDOS or whatever and select ISO Image instead >click the little button to the right of that and select the windows iso you downloaded >click start and wait (everything on the flash drive will be wiped destroyed so make backups) >when it's done unplug flash drive and put it into the old computer

You're an hero, user.

4) Installation (same thing if you buy a dvd at the store) >when the computer boots it should say press f8 or f12 or some key >press that key to enter bios setup >look for a boot override section >use arrow keys to navigate and highlight flash drive >press enter >you should be booted to windows setup >try to repair windows >if it doesn't work do a clean install >as far as choosing the right disk you want to pick the biggest sized one >should say NTFS under filesystem type >install wangblows >if it asks for a product key try these (worked for me) freeappsforwindows.com/windows-8-1-product-key-free-for-you/ >reboot and pull out flash drive as soon as that f8 key screen appears >set up like a new computer with username and password and stuff

No problem. Ask Sup Forums or /wsr/ next time. Sup Forums is full of retards who usually don't help much.
Ethan Morris
Wait, is there a specific reason why I need a 16+ GB flash drive when the file is around 4 GB? I currently have a 8 GB one with me.
James Flores
Try disconnecting any drives without an operating system
Hudson Ramirez
I've used 8GB ones and for some reason they'd only boot maybe 70% of the time. I don't know if it's because I use a Mac or what buy 16GB+ seems to not have this issue.
