>Worth watching
Dont know really. I guess, if you haven't got anything better to see.

It's quite overrated in my opinion and not creepy at all. Pretty good cast, nice setting and great soundtrack though

Has it's moments and is unique enough.

they couldn't find an attractive bitch for the poster?

I thought it was good. I like slow burn horror movies more than shitty goreporn and jumpscares. You'll probably like it if you liked house of the devil or that other one that takes place in the hotel. I forget the name

No it's seriously awful: glacially paced for no reason except the own directors self-indulgence and ineptitude, hardly any dialogue (but you'll find that it's a good thing in the end), set in the 80s for for no reason, not scary in the slightest wouldn't even technically consider it a horror movie, blatant dumb allegory for on STDs/death whatever and godawful acting by everyone.

It feels like you're watching a shitty creepypasta.

pretty much this, notable only for the five-six bitches it scared into not being whores for a couple of days

Reminder that the director personally shilled on Sup Forums and then raged hard once he realized people didn't actually like his piece of shit film
archive.4plebs.org/tv/thread/55481967/#55481967

It's shit

how do we know thats him

First half was good, but it went down the shitter as soon as ghost mom humped her son to death.

This sums it up very well.

It's not perfect, but it's absolutely worth a watch.

Loved it. Scared the pants off of me. Big horror fan, so appreciated the atmosphere and dread, and lack of jump scares. And while it wasn't the best ending ever, I still liked it. I thought that the final It being her dad was a nice touch. 9/10

That the one with John cussak and Samuel l Jackson or the one with Hitchcock?

I thought it was great. Really well shot and very suspenseful.

Why the fuck would anyone still be shilling for this now? Why did this movie trigger Sup Forums like nothing else?

Boy, what in THE hell is the matter with you?

no dude the one that's from the same director as House of the Devil

I saw part of it, it was boring shit

I hate horror yet I loved it. It is one of the only movies that actually creeped me out.

>Why did this movie trigger Sup Forums like nothing else?

It was just a really really obvious paid shilling campaign here on Sup Forums for Babadook and then shortly after for It Follows as well.

It was obvious what it was and it was constant and unrelenting. It pissed everyone off. And to top it off It Follows was also a bad movie, so it was shilling, thread starting and coordinated spamming for a movie that wasn't even any good to begin with.

>It pissed everyone off.

you mean, it pissed off people who care more about how a movie is marketed than whether it delivers or not.

Never underestimate the imbecility of this board. I doubt these are bait, these people believe what they're saying

I miss fucking with those guys.
Will a movie ever be shilled as hard as It Follows was?

David pls go

In a bottomless pit of shitty horror over the past 20 years or so, YES, it is totally worth watching. A masterpiece, no, but very stylized and comfy.

paid marketers are literal cancer, you cuck

If you don't think it was being shilled here, then you weren't here when it was going on, it was the worst one in the history of the board.

I think those were just people who wanted to discuss the movie dude

haha, oh man

Honestly, the premise is original, but what made the movie good is that the protagonists are smart. Horror is prone to bad writing and too many moments of "how fucking stupid are you, I would never do that." These kids come up with strategies, do things that make sense, and come off as realistic. To me, that's what made this a good horror movie.

Shut the fuck up shill

Stop shitposting.

Shut the fuck up, you dirty little nigger.

Ok David

Imagine Anyone coming here to this hole to market a film.

a-are the shills back, Sup Forums?

It's so much fun to come into a thread and to shit all over it!

It is a new meme on Sup Forums to call someone a shill when they like a movie that you don't like?

>do things that make sense
>"hey i had sex with this guy and now a ghost is trying to kill me"
>"let's have sex"

They're that greedy.
The latest, most obvious shilling campaign is for that new Purge movie, they even have hashtags in the filename lel.

It's not new, unfortunately. Remember, there's no bottom

it is true to all boards
mainstream shit will always be shit

Pretty sure that evil goat movie is being shilled here currently

Sup Forums has tons of people who are payed to analyze their memes so they can better market their games there

OP, it was good. Not great, but definitely worth a watch. This is coming from a non-cum-guzzling non-edgy teenager-20'something non-ass-rape victim, unlike 80% of posters that post here.

Has some super cool moments on first viewing
>The opening 360 shot
>That soundtrack with the old lady It
>That actually good jump scare in the house

>good
>jump scare
reevaluate your life and end it

Is it good? No. Is it a great idea? Yes. Is it worth watching? If you want to see how to butcher a horror movie, then watch this movie.

>I am a mature person, therefore I conclude jump scares are indicative of bad films, pure garbage
fag

>can't download online
>can't stream online without paying
>can't watch on streaming services that you subscribe to

No wonder shills shill this movie so hard, anyone who watches it has to pay.

the adults are talking

>can't download online
i take it you're either from germany or australia

>I released a movie on VOD that my people calculated would have made me over a million bucks, but because of piracy it didnt even make 1/5th of that
lulz. literally blaming piracy because his pos movie didn't make any money.

So because I don't enjoy watching weird naked people walk slowly towards a shrieking teenager for two hours mean I'm an imbecile? Maybe you're too dumb to see that its shit.

Oh don't tell me that tall motherfucker didn't scare the shit out of you
Oh wait you didn't even watch the movie

I'm not BUYING a VPN to download it from public trackers faggit. And I'm not BUYING into a private tracker with ratio / begging to get it.

If this movie were any good there'd be a way to watch it for free.

i watched it and i thought the scene with the poolhouse and the electronics were moronic which was fitting since they were teenagers or something

Nah it's shit man. Bad plot bad acting, awful ending. Just avoid this pleb horror

Hahaha also I just checked on Pirate Bay again, there are no 1080p BluRay releases and I don't download SHIT.

you need to live more on the edge just download it or travel to a country where the police has to have a court order to see your internet history

It didn't. Plz leave underage fuck

Could the shillfags be any more retarded? lmao

Nice reductionism. That you dare to claim the film is in any form bad, or people stupid for appreciating it, is however commendable in a distorted way. To shitpost, shamelessness is very important

kat.cr/it-follows-2014-1080p-bluray-x265-hevc-10bit-aac-5-1-tigole-t12415186.html

Why are you helping the 60 IQ guy?

>downloading from botnet bay

it's all good as long as it damages the movie industry

You've got an IQ of 60 if you think the BluRay source was encoded with 10-bit per pixel color depth.

I don't download shit composed of a false color palette. Especially live action. Would only get if it were scanned from a film print.

>add 4+ billion colors to a 16.7 million color source to play on a 16.7 million color monitor
>degrade Dolby Digital audio to low bitrate AAC

Holy shit, what's it like living below the Sahara? Oogy boogey, nigger. Sub-70 IQ.

you asked for 1080p and you got one now go away you baby

I like the movie a lot, but the pool scene really annoyed me. First of all, they know IT is supernatural, and already shot it and know that bodily harm is not going to permanently get rid of it. But that doesn't stop them from trying to lure IT into an Olympic size swimming pool to try and electrocute it. And then they don't even turn the appliances on (throwing them in the pool with them turned off isn't going to do shit, since they aren't drawing any amperage). And a few appliances won't do shit in a pool that size anyway. It's like they just gave up with "le smart teenager" angle at the end. Then they just decide to have the nerd kid pass it on to some skanky hookers, like they aren't going to be killed and IT will be right back after them. Teens are fucking stupid after all.

Do you really think It Follows was shot on film?

I think it was shot digitally at a 10-bit per pixel color depth and 4K resolution. If you want 10-bit color depth, wait for the next generation of BluRay.

I'll continue to wait for a real 1080p.BLURAY rip that conforms to actual scene standards instead of furfag yiff shit.

*tips*

Autism

Like Conan the Cimmerian, I seek a standard.

It's in another league compared to all the other shlock horror that is coming out.
The soundtrack is what does it for me.
Must watch if you're a true kino patrician.

it was shot on shillm

You don't have to tell me. I own the Blu-ray, which currently is the highest quality in which it can be viewed.

This is why I don't put my faith in downloads and streaming. Seems whenever you want to re-watch something, it is magically not on torrents or any streaming site. Just like cable TV of the '90s and early '00s, movies come and go.

My watching enjoyment for my favorite kinos is only an arm's length away and no website or internet provider tells me when a movie is available or not available.

If you don't collect your favorite movies in hard-copy form, you are cucking yourself.

>people keep saying how genuinely scary it is

>there is literally nothing scary in the whole movie

At least there was some milf raping stepson to death scene.

The Innkeepers you're thinking of

I could see a lot of people on this board not being scared by thus movie since so many of you are autistic virgins who would never be at risk for the curse potrayed in the movie.

lul

>kino patrician
kek
but it was ok I guess, apart from the terrible pool scene
[spoilers]like the witch much more[/spoilers]

It's singular :^)

The Shining

I liked it. It's always great to see original ideas in horror, the genre that has done pretty much everything.

Roasties getting BTFO, normies getting BTFO.. what's not to like?

>Roasties getting BTFO, normies getting BTFO
I was liking you you went full /r9k/

It's all fun and games until the ghost STD kills you, roastie.

For you it will never be fun and games :)

>set in he 80s

You're all confirmed for being 12.

>I didn't get it

I watch pretty much nothing but horror and thrillers and I'm never spooped afterwards, but after watching It Follows it really stuck with me, I even dreamed about it.
Having something always following you and trying to catch up with you is pretty scary. And no, it's not a metaphor for stds, just take some time to think about it.

a good plot-twist ending might have saved it, but the ending was extremely limp and unsatisfying... my vote is "no"

>my vote is "no"
Fucking IMDB people who talk like that haha. Good one, friendo

It's a good movie if you're looking for sexual metaphors and a dark fairy tale or fable feel. Not a good movie if you're looking for jump scares.
The characters are less douchey than I like in my horror movies, but that is because they are docile millennials who don't have the previous generations' energy levels.

I didn't like it. I felt like it was one of those movies, where it was more or less 'good' but it just didn't do anything for me. Felt like they didn't do enough with the concept though.

The soundtrack is phenomenal though. I like to throw it on whenever I'm in a spooky mood.
