This, never understood it myself. I fucking love Xenakis but I'm not a Type V-level listener. More like Type II at best (not based on the genres since I listen to some from all levels but my level of plebdom).
The only artists there I don't like are the two I haven't heard, I'll have to look more into Boulez and this Darreg guy who I have never heard of
