When will they no longer be considered "big clubs"?

...

Nobody considers them big clubs anymore.

Liverpool is nothing more than a mid-table team.

Liverpool was never big
AC Milan will always be a big club due tu 6 champions league trophys

A lot of Liverpool hate here.

Have a little reminder of the MOST popular team int the world.

5 CL.

The highest in England.

Would have had 10 if it wasn't of the ban.

why are Ajax such jokes?

Most decorated team in England.

>not a single premier league trophy
lmao, when did they last win the league, 1990?

Post your favorite football comedy, I'll start first

Thanks, user.

to answer the question OP they're not considered big clubs now. If we're going by the trophies argument Celtic has a Champions League and a ton of league titles. Barcelona have only a few more league titles than Liverpool and they're considered massive. Atletico and Dortmund have less league titles than Liverpool combined and only a CL between them. Is Liverpool smaller than Celtic? Are they bigger than Borussia Dortmund or Atletico?

No player gives a shit about history that only 40+ year olds remember, just how good they are now.

Once they've been relegated and/or fail to win an important trophy for ~10 years

What was the ban for?

there was a ban on all English clubs from European competition for five years. I think six for Liverpool. Reason was because of the rioting during the '85 European Cup.

>10

sure mate and my team Forest would have 5 if not for the ban

>riot
they killed a bunch of juve fans cuz theyre shit people hoolligans
but im glad they did it cuz it made it easier for porto to win it

The thing with actually winning european cups is that they don't just disappear because the clubs are going through a rough patch. I guess Arsenal fans and fans of other similarly small clubs wouldn't understand this.

They've been mid tier for a decade

Liverpool and West Ham are WE WUZ KANGZ AND SHIET clubs.
Milan are a big club.

>comparing 5 time European Cup winners with a nothing club

>Liverpool was never big

Really? They're still one of the most popular teams in the world even after 7 seasons of being complete crap, just imagine how big they were a decade ago when they won their 5th CL.

God, Liverspool's crest is horrible

can't speak for Milan, but Liverpool will stop being big when they're no longer one of the most supported clubs in the world or have all their previous titles stripped

Milan: 18 titles, 7 European Cups
Liverpool: 18 titles, 5 European Cups

Not too much difference between them, if the '07 final had gone differently they'd be even on European Cups.

milan was the last serie a winner before juve it's a different case than liverpool. I give milan 5 years untill they come back

Liverpool: Once they start to lose their massive global fanbase, should take another 5 years of missing out on the CL for that to happen. And that seems pretty likely, since they're only the 5th-richest team in their league and Spurs are likely to overtake them soon.

Milan: It depends on whether or not Berlusconi can hire somebody competent to run his club or just sell the thing. Milan are still the 2nd-richest team in Serie A, there's no reason why they shouldn't be qualifying for the CL on a regular basis.

Also a bunch of murderous cunts. Thank god for hillsborough

ITT: People who think a big team = big trophy case

Liverpool and Milan won't be big clubs when they don't have big followings, but since they do have big fanbases they are definitely big clubs.

Then Flamengo is the biggest club of the world

Milan was way stronger in 2005 and 2007 so it's really a dumb argument.

Also people need to know the difference between big team and big clubs. With 7 and 5 LDC it would take 50 years or even more for them to lose their status of big clubs. That's if they keep their huge fanbase and continue to be a top 6 clubs in their country.

Also Milan will be back really soon.

MURDER ONE

The thing is, ACM won most of his big shit in the 1989-2008 timespan.

Why do you think it's that?

Based Sacchi and Capello and Ancelotti.

Why i think Milan will be back soon? Because Berlusconi is gonna leave the club soon and with one of the biggest football brand in the world it's not that hard to be a big clubs if you have a minimum of money.

If that's for the 50 years it's because they would still be in top 10 of LDC winners. This and fanbase is what make a you a big club.

Do they have the most fans? Sounds like a massive club if they have more fans than any other club on the entire planet

fucking livercuck, a european cup is not a champions league, back in the 70s/80s you could win 2 in a row just by going on lucky streaks

big = continued size, success both in europe and domestically, stadium and fan base and history

>no league title for 25 years

>no CL for 11

So only Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Bayern Munich can be considered big clubs.

And if Milan hadn't allowed Liverpool to come back from a 3-0 deficit they'd have twice their cups

Ajax isn't a big club and they're top 5 in CL tho

bump.

>AC Milan will always be a big club due tu 6 champions league trophys
Liverpool have 5 you absolute mong. They were dominant in the 70s and 80s, that's what makes their current mediocrity all the more hilarious.

>Berlusconi is gonna leave the club soon

good joke
