no the problem with africa is it's full of africans
it helped in a way
WOW RACIST MUCH????
pretty much
Or, did colonialism permanently fuck up Europe?
Protip: Ask France
Pretty much this
And this
Africa was a gigantic shithole before we got there
Need I remind you that AFRICANS are the ones that enslaved their fellow Africans. And then they sold those slaves to America.
Americans didn't go over to Africa and round up slaves. AFRICANS THEMSELVES rounded up weak Africans, put them in chains, and sold them to the white man.
Why aren't black people in America angry at Africans? The people that enslaved them? Never understood that.
bretty edgy and it's coming from a shit skin lel
Also they started it... We just reconquista them from Ceuta to Japan.
Short answer yes probably but things might be better in the slim chance Nigeria gets it's shit together. Political Science and international relation fag here
He didn't mean North Africa. North Africa, Tunisia especially, is a White and Germanic land.
African still didn't have invent the wheel when we visited them.
we didn't need wheels
>1 blonde guy is everyone
KEK Moroccans are dark as fuck
East Africa did alot
>Nubians from after about 400 BCE used wheels for spinning pottery and as water wheels. It is thought that Nubian waterwheels may have been ox-driven.
>The wheel was barely used, with the exception of Ethiopia and Somalia, in Sub-Saharan Africa well into the 19th century but this changed with the arrival of the Europeans
of course many problems have been caused in Africa by colonialism, however, it has been lmost a hundred years since their independence, and by God we have been trying to help them, but they just seem to be incapable of handling their own shit. it might have arguably been better if we had stayed there a little longer and held their hand a little untill they got their shit together.
look at SA for example, they (were) the only modern African country, and it wouldn't be hyperbolic to say that this was mostly due to European occupation.
tldr; yes but even so, we shouldve stayed longer.
Doesn't make it less true.
idc every person with a different skin tone than mine is a shitskin lighter one are pigs darker one are negros it's simple
Yes, Africans did enslave each-other, but IIRC, the slaves sent to the Americas were the ones captured by arabs
Yes we captured them.
Same shit
this
similarly with south america
africa was fucked up, colonialism just ended too early
>le eternal butthurt Spanish
Do you want a meme answer like these posters here or a real decent answer because you are not asking the right audience.
The problem with South America is that it's full of catholics
Pretty much.
Africa's been on a downward spiral ever since it wasn't colonized anymore.
Pic related.
If I see that shit doc pic one more time I will slaughter every single maple leaf tree next fall.
>the slaves sent to the Americas were the ones captured by arabs
No, Africans slaved by Arabs were mostly just those on Eastern Africa.
Slaves to America were from west africa
Exactly
Before we came along they were a backward land of savages
You know what's really shit? If we hadn't gone there and given them all our technology, they would still be sitting in their little fucking mud huts, killing and raping and enslaving one another
And they never would have come here. They would have stayed where they belong.
So basically we sowed our own demise by colonising the world
Sucks 2bh
...
You should have been like Grorious China and taken the "we're more advanced than the rest of the world, so the rest of the world doesn't matter" approach instead of Eternal Perfidiousness
If we had then you wouldn't exist
Another good reason why colonialism was a bad idea
wtf thats racist
Just like the problem with Chile is you
>someone starts talking about how americans sailed over and kidnapped africans
This infuriates me, is this what is actually taught in most places?
wtf Muslim Texas
If anything, it helped them a lot.
No, but commies keep them fucked up.
fpbp
Sudden decolonization screwed it.
nice meme answeres fuckers. if you want a real answer yes colonialism did fuck up africa pretty bad. lots of modern instability on the continent still can be connected back to the massive resource extraction during the colonial era. also european borders still determined the borders of modern countries throuhout africa. most african countries have multiple languages and ethnic groups crammed together due to colonialism which has led to a lot of political strife due to people who wouldnt have willingly come together in the past becoming residents of a shared country (rwanda is a good example). modern africa is still super corrupt and poor due to a lot of shit leaders and constant foreign intervention. however, the continent is modernizing faster that most whiteys think. clearly though if colonialism hadnt happened the continent would be much more politically stable although less technologically advanced. or yeah lol niggers in africa lol savages xD
also nothing can be fucked up permanently. imo we are gonna see places in africa become a better place to live than parts of the middle east, central america, and even europe over the next hundred years if western society keeps cannibalizing itself
>Colonialism
>Yank oil corporations
UNfags are to blame for this mess, murica specialy.
most african states are barely 60 yo.
they gain independence mostly after ww2, and a lot of them in the fucking 60's
UN? It's not the UN's fault it's basically gutted being unable to do anything and at the mercy of the stronger nations.
Gradual decolonization is impossible when a nation has so much at stake in a colony.
t. shalhoub boumedienne
t. Barry Goldheimer
>UN
>Stronger Nations
>Russia
>Murica
Murica has guns thus the power STFU FUKIN LEAF
wow. just wow. im literally shaking right now
Ahmed Abdul
It certainly changed it, and not just African colonialism.
Trading of all kinds from the various ports that Europeans controlled on the continent from the start of long-distance ocean trading in the 1400s influenced African societies (for better or worse, many would argue worse but IMO that's a fetishistic obsession with cultural purity). Slave trading in West Africa fucked shit up pretty well in particular.
Can confirm
But you should look at Madrid before speaking my friend
This
But the colonial period during the (assuming direct control phase) pretty much quashed indigenous trade pretty hard.
Can't really trade with other neighboring places outside colonies and you had to send all your stuff to the motherland on top of complete neglect of traditional and socialist economies and places of commerce that should have been formalized instead of neglected, dismantled or discouraged.
Pretty hard to make a dime on cash crops in a colony when you as a producer can only sell it to the colony state's marketing board and you only get 50% of the revenue with the rest going to an account back in the UK for example.
True
No, the Europeans just didn't finish the job and now China is picking up the slack.
texas is right
>All of those disgusting Anglos that exploited the shit out of Africa agreeing with this post
