Nyghtwolf was given a job with S3 Labs to take inventory of the old NLGDs that were incomplete or never given an AI core. None were discarded because of flaws because Gami would work on each NLGD until they were functional.
Nyghtwolf was given the job because of her NSB adaptors (Neural Serial Bus, non intrusive data transfer ports with as many uses as USB ports today. And since it's nonintrusive, it can't harm anyone mentally or physically.
NLGD-66 was a fusion between NSB adaptors and Nanite technology. The project was abandoned when the Nanite funding was pooled to the LGDs, primarly for Reeno Gard.
As Nyght got close to the device, shi (yes, shi.) failed to notice the warning about the NLGD being nerotic- the moment it noticed her arrousal at the subject matter she was surrounded by, it opened it's nanite outer layer, and whipped out it's softer core on her limbs, including hybrid technology of magnetic braclets (controlled by the nanites instead of magnetic polarties) The NSB hookup snakes arround behind her and starts to attach itself (a clear-mercury-like fluid works as conductive lubrication for the NSBs).
The tiny device (short version) uses a technology based arround encrypting and decrypting matter on the atomic buliding blocks. It's encoded only to decrypt her clothing- it would pass harmlessly through her fur.
