This is dumb. Most people don't understand what it would take to get here from another star in any decent amount of time. It's, for all intents and purposes, impossible. Any alien that got here would be like gods to us. Their technology would be magical and we would have nothing they would want. We wouldn't even know they were here unless they wanted us to and they would know every single thing about us before they got here. Communicating with them would be irrelevant.
