My friend said to get the MSI Z170a Gaming M7 but I need your opinions.
Usage will be gaming

nah get asus high end boards only

Their bios's can be a little touchy so keep it updated.

Should I get the Asus z170 Gaming pro?

Asus z170 Deluxe

EVGA Z170 are very good

>"Gaming" mobo
Yes fall for the meme, if it has game in the title or led lights for effect it is good.

I'm looking at getting this one myself

DO NOT get any mobo with gaming in its name. Just dont.

stay away from msi! there junk! i have a asus cross hair V

X99 poorfags

ASUS X99-A USB 3.1 I was also looking at this

This, everything with gaming on it is just something cheap with fancy colors and leds

X99 processors are expensive as shit tho
The maximus VIII hero is a good skylake board

Asus maximus VIII ranger or z170 deluxe

My first time buying and building so this info is gold

what the fuck
5GHz at such a voltage?

I have a msi z170 sli plus (it was like $130) and I regret getting it because it's cheaply made and my computer is already having problems. I built it less than a month ago. Get something that's got high ratings no matter the price. You'll be glad you did.

depends what cpu you want

here is some bretty good stuff
the tier list doesn't have z170 yet though.
if you want to keep to a budget, the 4000 series i7s are also sufficient for just gaming.

Pick your CPU and GPU first then once you've done that pick your motherboard

These are the post popular cpus on the futuremark site. Both are good for gaming, 6700k and the z170 platform is more future proof due to Kaby Lake arriving soon and ddr4.
