Proposed Updates for the Unified Rules ABC Conference 2016 1. 12 to 6 elbows- All elbow strikes legal to approved targets. 2. Heel Kicks to the kidney. 3. Grabbing the clavicle.
1. Striking the back of the head or spine- “The back of the head is defined as the area covering a 2 inch wide strip that runs down the center of the back of the head starting at the crown and running straight down the (nape of the) neck and spine, including the tailbone.” 2. Butting with the head- Not allowed to head or body. 3. Kicking or kneeing the head of a grounded fighter- “A grounded fighter is defined as: Any part of the body, other than a hand and feet touching the fighting area floor. To be grounded, both hands palm/fist down, and/or any other body part must be touching the fighting area floor. At this time, kicks or knees to the head will not be allowed.” 4. Eye Pokes- Moving forward toward opponent with fingers outreached In the standing position, a fighter that moves their arm(s) toward their opponent with an open hand, fingers pointing at the opponent’s face/eyes, will be a foul. Referees are to prevent this dangerous behavior by communicating clearly to fighters. Fighters are directed to close their fists or point their fingers straight in the air when reaching toward their opponent.

>other than a hand and feet touching the fighting area floor Looks like Jon v Rampage 2 is gonna be a completely different fight

They approved 12-6? I thought they said they tabled that for another year

>The hosts asked if Hogan would have had interest in entering MMA if it was popular when he was younger. He said he had some experience when he wrestled in Japan. He said there were a lot of Pride fighters he faced when he wrestled there starting in 1977, and he said he never knew whether he was getting in the ring with a shooter. He also said he thinks UFC just bought Pride.
Based Hogan.

Is anyone watching this? MMA fighters GSP and Batista are in it. Werdum,Woodley and Cain are in it too I think. 9.3 is pretty fucking good. Up there with Godfather.
Jose Bell
I say let woodley fight GSP or Diaz. The man's earned some $$
Its a bit different than the Bisping/Hendo situation since wonderboy is actually a fun fighter to watch, but if bisbong gets to choose a money fight, give one to woodley as well

i think a previous incarnation of gsp would jab woodley to death/UD 8/10 times or so but who knows what he'll be like if/when he comes back. the footage of him hitting pads and doing gymnastics that we've seen sporadically are not promising at all. he has looked slow, VERY stiff, and awkward.
Thomas Barnes
Never tried it myself, when i first started judo, i remember my coach telling me a grip for ouchi gari/inside leg trip, for "the streets" grabbing digging your fingers into your opponent's collarbone then driving into the inside leg trip, supposedly the pulling motion of the grip and the tripping motion going backwards could theoretically pop or break someone's collarbone
Would love to see the rule against grabbing the clavicle lifted to see if this theory holds true.
Jack Johnson
Also the last few years it feels like ref's dont reinforce heel kicks or strikes to the kidney. Seems like refs ignore it or forget it. Seen a few times people laying in guard or the guy is flattened out and the kidneys are being attacked.
Having had my kidneys repeatedly punched in a wrestling match and having the next day peeing blood and going to the ER, it sort of strikes a persona cord with me myself.
Matthew Lee
I don't get the impression GSP is ever going to fight again, they keep talking about how he wanted Conor if he beat Nate, and maybe fighting Nate, who said he refused out of respect for his bro but I just get this feeling it's a bluff on GSP's end.

>So Alvarerez says that I never fight with top fighters and talking about my pro record. I'm not sure where he gets that information, but when I fight vs Tibau he was ranked 15, when I fight vs Tavares, he was considered as best Brazilian lightweight, Pat Healy was ranked 10, when I fight RDA he was #5. My last fight, I suppose to face Tony Ferguson who is ranked #3, but he got injured and pulled out, I asked for any light and welterweight fighter for replacement, including Alvarerez, but nobody accept. But your ass, Eddie, got kicked in first UFC fight by cowboy, second fight you won Melendez by split decision, but all experts believes you lost that one unanimously. Third one you win Pettis by split decision and after that you get title shot. You beat RDA without question. Do you really believe, that with that only one UFC victory, you are great fighter and can dictate your terms? I don't think so. Remember, with or without the belt, I will hunt you down. Your name in my blacklist.
