Here ya go
Feel free to critique. I'm just using a shitty ukulele, an iphone5s mic, and FL
>he wasn't joking
memes aside, at times it gets really repetitive and overstays its welcome, try making it a bit more diverse and try experimenting a bit, it goes a long way
Hey thank you so much for listening/critiquing!
This recording is mostly to keep track of ideas and chord progressions. It's the closest thing to a finalized track that I have, but it is by no means finalized. I would like to maybe add some vocals, and definitely make the track flow more beyond 4 bars of each patterm
this is pretty sweet, don't even like shoegaze or ukulele
No prob mate
If you do vocals, try and make them sound unique instead of typical boring shit, it helps encapsulate the listener into the music and think of it as a favorite instead of as a good album
Thank you!
I was thinking of going super crisp with the vocals. I'm not ridiculously well versed in shoegaze (I know/actively listen to MBV, Candy Claws, and that Wild Ivy album I mentioned earlier), so I don't know if that is done a lot as a contrast to the effect-laden guitars. Any advice regarding that, like what artists to take influence from, or something of that nature?
The one i always post
Funk gaze
Somebody posted once i guess an ariel pink track or of a related artist which it was good, but not what I'm looking for now
Depressive blackened jazz-trap

Minimalistic noise
Mathwave
Stoner Jazz
Operatic Rap
Telephone rock
Elaborate
I would take influence from artists like Blank Banshee or Sweet Trip really if you're going to go with the sound you're going with right now, in that if you do vocals, try to make them sound as if they're sampled from something or sound like nothing you've ever heard before, like for example My Machine by Blank Banshee which comes to mind first for whatever reason. Only a recommendation.
I've been wanting to get around to "velocity design comfort" for a while now, so I'll have to do that soon here. Thank you very much for the recommendations
Interesting.
No problem mate, any time

There's this genre called Microtone, you might be interested b it.
All these people creating "le epin genre mashubs" is not creative. What about an actual new genre?
"Ziggyzagg"
>Liminal Space by Xanopticon
It is incredibly abrasive, and sounds improvised due to the lack of apparent structure. it might've been meticulously sequenced but I'm not sure
Any genre of music could be improvised, you just need to be familiar with the instruments (for IDM, those would be controllers and sequencers)
