>Hey guys. This is p3ndra6on here. I’m just finishing up my final report on “Sup Forums solves >> 698803244”. Unfortunately, it seems as if the trail has stopped here, unless OP posts something new (should he do that, I’ll just take this down and update it). Anyways, I’ll start from the beginning, and tell things as accurate as possible, from my point of view. I can’t guarantee everything is completely accurate, as I am human and have certain memory lapses. I’m also sorry that I couldn’t archive everything, only the things that I experienced. On the evening of August 9th (or 10th, I’m honestly not sure, prolly the 9th), 2016, an user on boards.Sup Forums.org/b/ posted a thread with a dropbox link without any description. Normally, Dropbox links such as this are used for porn stashes, so naturally, me and many other anons clicked on it. As soon as we click on the DB link, we notice something very strange. None of the docs in the folder was porn. In fact it was just (2 I think) text documents. Unfortunately, I believe, within a half hour the thread 404’d (and no one managed to archive it), leaving some of us confused as to what to do next. In that thread while it lasted, some anons managed to decode the first doc that was encoded in base64 and decoded into a png image, leaving another message, which had a hex encoding, which from there it was really easy for them to gain the actual message, which was two coordinates. As far as I know, one was correct, which pointed to a spot in a town called Edmond, Oklahoma, the other pair I believe was a false coordinate to throw us off (I’m not sure where though).
>A couple anons tried to decode the next message, which was different from the first one. It was really short, and looked like a basic Caesar Cipher, but when anons tried to decode with ROT1-ROT25 they came up with nothing. However, one user was clever enough to attempt to decode a keyed Vigenere Cipher, which used a password, and the letters in it translated into numbers, which corresponded with certain ROTs. You can look it up if you want to know more about how it works. The user managed to figure out the key (password) because it was both in the document, as well as in the name of the document itself. The message that they obtained was “In the woods behind the house, there are 4 trailers, each of which contain steel cages”. Very creepy. A short while after, some cumlord user posted “I’ve notified the authorities and attached a link to this thread. They said they will be monitoring this thread, as well as going to the scene. Stay clean guys”. Fucking cucklord. A few minutes later, an user, we later called “splashy”, posted a comment on that thread with a link to a webapp called Discord, which is like a team messaging service for working together with other people, whatever the project might be. Anyways, many anons, including myself, accepted the invitation and joined Discord. A little while after, a new document was posted on the DB link, saying “Unfortunately, this game of ours must come to an end...for now. If you would like to continue this, just keep a lookout for a new thread, and maybe we can continue this little treasure hunt”. Probably had to back off because of the feds. A while later, OP posted “If you would like to keep trying to solve this mystery, just be on the lookout for another black dropbox thread, I'll be back soon”. Some anons started asking what time specifically, to which op replied that it would be 10PM CDT the next day.

After a bit of back and forth between investigators, an user archived the thread for later reference, and shortly after it 404’d. On the Discord app we discussed a bit what the game plan was. It was mostly just “waiting for 10PM CDT”. The next day, we waited for the OP to post a new thread. We started to get anxious that OP was trolling bc it was a half hour past when he said he’d post, and he was a no show. Luckily, I received a notification on Discord that OP had posted a new DB link (now 404’d) on Sup Forums (archive.is/MBSDp, or Thread2.zip in the case file) with two files, one was a screenshot of a picture, that may or may not have hidden info in it (which to this point I still don’t have much info on), and the second one was newgame.txt, which contained a bunch of code that I didn’t understand. Unfortunately I realized none of the decoders from the day before were on, so I decided I’d give it a try myself. Luckily OP wasn’t an extreme cryptographic genius, so all I had to do was take a few minutes to do some research, then I started working on the code to figure out what OP was trying to say. The first file I started on was “newgame.txt”. I remembered that someone in a thread mentioned “base64 encoded png” so I just looked up an online decoder and from there I copied the code in and I got a png image saying “Welcome back. Are you ready to continue our game?”. I replied to OPs new thread “We are ready OP” and told him to stay cryptic because of the feds. I didn’t know if any of this was illegal, but I didn’t want the police getting in the way of us figuring it out. OP didn’t reply, so I posted again “What now OP?”. He replied a few minutes later “5 minutes”. So I waited around 5 minutes reviewing what I know.

> About 6 minutes in, splashy on Discord informed me a new file had been posted on the DB link (405.txt). It was another .png image that, when I decoded it, gave me several lines of hex. Unfortunately, OP was enough of a dick that he had to use a image, so I couldn’t just copypasta into a hex decoder. However, I got over it and hand-typed it into a hex decoder. The finished message said “In the house, there is an old couch. Under the couch is your next clue”. I was frustrated because we had to wait for the user from the previous night that said they would go check it out. The team and I discussed on Discord and on the thread what the game plan was. We started talking about coordinates and I said I’d try to find them on the archived post. Someone notified me that an new file was posted. 405(2).txt. More base64 that decoded into a png with hex. Turns out it was the same coords from the previous night. I was upset I wasted my time on that since I already had the coords, but whatever. Later on the thread the user from the previous night reported in. He stated that he had went out there earlier and there was a cop out there sitting on the road. It was because of the sketchy tip the feds got the night before. Apparently the place was called Gandinis Circus, or near it. Apparently haunted. After a bit of back and forth between team and OklahomaAnon(okla user, oklahoma, okla, etc.), we finally managed to get him on Discord with the rest of the team, at the expense of getting a bunch of other anons along with him. We gave him instructions and told him about the couch thing and said he would go back out there later that night. Shortly after Okla joined Discord, the thread 404’d.

>After that point we also assumed that OP was in our Discord project as well, but there was no way to tell who. We were hoping that none of the feds or the fedfags managed to get on the project. While we waited for Okla to get to the location, on Discord we discussed a way to live stream Okla’s adventure through his phone. We eventually decided on using Periscope to live stream it, bc it was usable on most platforms. He got to the location and started streaming, so we all joined the live stream and watched his progress. He was with a buddy, Michael I think. He started going through a bunch of bushes to the location. His buddy Michael (the fucking cucklord) started to pussy out, so he went back to the car. A while later, Okla’s live stream cut out and we all freaked out a bit until he came back on. He was still walking through bushes and shit when he says “Oh shit there’s a guy here, he’s walking right over there”. Unfortunately, it was dark as shit, so we couldn’t see really anything from the live stream. All we could really do was let OklaAnon narrate everything for us and trust him. A short while later, the live stream cut out again, and we freaked, again. After us on discord arguing about what happened, he came back onto the live stream. He was back in his car this time. We asked him what happened. He started telling us about this guy that was walking around (personal note: May have been cop, fed, or possibly OP, but we don’t really know for sure) and he said that he decided it was a bad idea and went back to his car. His buddy Michael was asking who he was talking to, “live stream, trying to solve this mystery for these guys”, “Oh….you guys are fuckin’ gay. Wanna see me smoke some pot?”, to which we were pissed but it was okay. We just were glad Okla was okay.

>Anyways Okla was continuing to explain the situation to us, and he was starting to say he would come back out when there was light out, but then he just stopped and said “you know what? Fuck y’all”. The live stream then cut out. On discord we were like “WTF”, and okla came on, saying “OklahomaAnon was OP” and “This was the greatest troll of all time”. I had wondered if he was OP, just because he was the one person that was able to get out there. I stated on Discord “I FUCKING KNEW IT”. Other anons, however, seemed to disagree with me. They said he pussied out and was just trolling us saying he trolled us because he didn’t want to admit he pussied out. It was a believable theory, and to be honest, I think it’s the truth at this point. We never heard from Okla again. Back on Discord, we began calming down and people were going offline. The last couple of us online began discussing what happens next. We were talking and came to agree that the case would be closed unless OP posted something new. At the time I’m writing this, I’m still constantly checking Sup Forums for the black dropbox logo. Anyways, someone mentioned steganography for the strange photo from the dropbox link and I said I would look into it. Splashy checked the binary on the photo (if you see the pic you’ll know what I mean) and it was just random gibberish. So there’s some steganographic element or it’s just a random photo. We’ll never know until someone figures it out or OP tells us. I looked into it, but I couldn’t get any info from the photo, so who knows.

Anyways this is getting close to the end of my report, so I’ll end it here soon. Like I said, if anything comes up, I’ll update this. I also have a theory as to who OP may be, but I won’t go into details here. I will post screencaps in the “OPTheory” folder so that you can do your own research if you like and come to your own conclusions. OP, I’d just like to say thanks, if you’re reading this, and I and the team had a lot of fun with this.
