Did you start paperwork, then get disqualified? Also, what was ASVAB score? You might be able to get a waiver. Try the Navy. I served with former methheads, and the Navy let them into the nuclear engineering program. If you seem worthwhile to them, they'll make it happen.

If you're about to be homeless, you don't have much left to lose. Pick a branch you won't likely see combat, and you'll be fine. Navy or Air Force, but the AF probably won't take you. Navy you could end up doing IT work or some shit like that, as long as you don't listen to the recruiter.
