A new EP will be coming in a few days. I've got an LP coming too but that won't be for a few more weeks at the very least. Would anyone be interested in helping produce a few tracks? They're mostly finished but need some help, like some extra instruments and melodies.

Description:

The title of Good Boy's new album, A Mouth Full, is quite prophetic of what it has to offer. Dizzying, disorienting synthesizers and vocoders, dwindling guitars, and colorful, terse bursts of energy, composed and comprised aside George's soft spoken, illusory-filled lyricism. Quite the mouthful indeed.

Support, scrobble, or review on RYM. Any feedback of any kind would be greatly appreciated. And George give some love. Thank You. :)

this is actually really dope. very cool chaotic industrial beats, and really awesome violent lyrics. UTiLiZE is pretty obviously DG influenced, but it holds its own as a pretty solid track.

been checking this out for a while. lovely understated fuzz pop. one of my favorite BC releases of the year.

1 full length and a track meant to evoke the Siege of Masada.

I think these effects (especially the delay) and the style of the playing blend nicely, but I see these little tracks as being components in larger works, especially "Joy," which could work beautifully as a texture or sample in a more complete song, Hope that you find a producer would help with this; I don't think I can help you sadly, can't produce for shit. But I see this going somewhere really neat! Will look out for the new album.

Have you listened to Catastrophic Mermaids on Parade? The vocal delivery and the rhythmic drone reminds me of them. But I think this track needs either to change subtly as it goes on, adding more textures, or building up. But it is evocative and interesting. Love your album art.
Praisegaze! I am really not sure how I feel about this after a cursory listen. I'm not really sure what you're going for but I will definitely give the album a go

New album!

For the most part, it sounds like the range you're singing in is above or at the higher limits of your comfortable vocal range. Try recording some stuff singing in a lower, more relaxed range and you might have stronger results.

For example, on "O Pat" your voice sounds a lot more relaxed and comfortable than on the other songs. Straining or being tense while singing is bad, not just because it sounds worse but because you can potentially damage your voice if you do it too much, too often.

Beyond that, though, I like your songwriting. Keep it up!

A note, is the weird noise at about the 1:40 mark in O Pat intended? It doesn't sound intended.

Thanks for the feedback! I thought I might try recording some punk songs but towards the end it felt really forced to muster that kind of energy by myself, and I think it shows.

And yeah that sound is actually me saying "bubble", basically ripping off what Lou Reed did on Lady Godivas Operation. But I overdid the distortion I think. Thanks again.

If you're broke I suggest you to get a decent headphone at least, so you'll hear subbass and shit and you'll have an easier time mixing and mastering.
Don't forget to take breaks and listen to your music on every device possible before releasing

>to your music on every device possible before releasing
i dont like doing this i always end up remastering everything and then it sounds horrendous in some device..

You have to make sure it sounds good on most devices, but most importantly with headphones.

if it sounds good in desktop speakers and apple earphones does that means it sounds good overall

This is more than half a year of work, considering I have an actual job, so I dedicated the little free time I had to do this. I think the final product is good, not perfect, but I think it deserves a listen. I'll be giving it away until the end of the year, so grab yours.

>"The soundtrack of something beautiful"

Loving the textures here. Not really sure how to critique noise except that it accomplishes the moods you set out to attain.
Wasn't really trying to accomplish much except for completing a cohesive album. The whole Jesus music theme is just an association of words to noise with no inherent context. The other goal was to experiment with noise that I can bring to future projects and now that I've finally finished something I can attempt a more focused approach.
