WHEN I MONOPOLIZE I THROW YOUR ASS OFF THE BOARDWALK

>when a rapper repeats the same line multiple times and cuts himself off the last time

>when an artist leaves in "oh shit, can we do that verse again", "fuck it just keep it running man" or something similar

example?

>ME AND MY NIGGAS BOUT TO TAKE THE WORLD OVER

>Was sampled in 2411 songs

>when a rapper deliberately denies themselves an easy rhyme and change it to something similar but not quite

>when the entire verse rhymes on the same word

embarrasing

ASAP Rocky does this a lot

I like his beats and flow, but his rhyming just consists of him enunciating hard as fuck on one syllable at the end of a word and rhyming the entire verse on it.

not really a repeating line but from Crack Music i always liked the ending
>See I done did all this ol' bullshit
>And to atone, I throw a lil' somethin somethin on the pulpit
>We took that shit, measured it and then cooked that shit
>And what we gave back was crack music
>And now we ooze it through they nooks and crannies
>So our mommas ain't got to be they cooks and nannies
>And we gon' repo everything they ever took from granny
>Now the former slaves trade hooks for Grammys
>This dark diction has become America's addiction
>Those who ain't even black use it
>We gon' keep baggin up this here crack mu-

Great Day
>Last wish: I wish I had two more wishes
>And I wish they fixed the door to the matrix, there's mad glitches
>Spit so many verses sometimes my jaw twitches
>One thing this party could use is more... booze

That's not a rhyme.

>when a rapper's rhythm is syncopated with the bass drum

he's denying himself the easy rhyme, which is the point

plus, he uses booze to start a new rhyme scheme right after
>One thing this party could use is more... booze
>Put yourself in your own shoes
>And stay away from all those pairs of busted Timbs you don't use
>He only keep 'em to decorate
>If you wanna peep him, select a date
>And bring a deep check, like "Check, mate"

it's a rhyme with the word use in the same line, so it is a rhyme anyway

>singer shouts in the way that is rough and raw but not screaming before big instrumental drop
