I saw The Assassin and thought it was incredible. It took its time, but by the end I was absolutely in awe.
Then I sought out more HHH and decided on Millennium Mambo, and I just can't get through it. The past three nights I've trekked 15 minutes more each time but it's just so uninspired. All the cool techniques that made The Assassin good now fall flat.
Is there a different HHH I should try or is he a one hit wonder -- the fact that The Assassin was his first in 7 years or something would indicate it's a bit of an outlier.
