Any one in the British Army or has server?
Whats the best role to go for to be on the front line but to use your brain? like forward artillery?

>front line
>use your brain
pick one

haha fair play, ok not surrounded by gormless idiots then

Idk man, my cousin is an engineer in US military, says it's fun and mildly safe for a front line job.

Go combat engineers

>front line
>use your brain

Do I need to say more? Lad, who goes willingly into the first like has suicide wishes, ain't for glory nor for your county any more, its all for the paper.

get a trade! anytihng! driver, engineer, clerk... any trade at all... go infantry and when you leave all you can use your experience for is the private sector. that said, if you go infantry, dont do the green army... do paras, RGJ, commandos.

aye im looking at trades cos i want something to come out with, mainly looking at forward artillery...anyone know if they actually get to do ally shit?

You're a coward mate.

AusFag here, if you go any corp other than infantry you should just kill yourself

then again, even within the elite infantry, theres still trades open, but they are allot harder to get into! dont let your recruiter sell you the "sign up for this, then when youre in you can choose what you want!" its bollocks... get a trade down on your forms... provided you pass the barb.

Durham Light Infantry are well known for their fashion design courses.

I am currently being processed for aviation systems technician in the Canadian Air Force. I went the relaxed/non-dangerous route lol. Plus the pay is better. I think the starting pay is something like 33.6k a year. After 3 years it goes to 50k a year and then 5 years in it goes to 63k a year with specialist pay at corporal. Corporals max out at 67k a year. So I can't really complain.

Lmao AUS Infantry crew, 90% of people in the battalions nowadays are weak af and have a big man complex. Beta work environment

anyone know if forward observers carry rifles and get in fire fights?

anyone do reserves consolidated training?

Yeah no shit, there's shit blokes working in every armed force in the world. Doesn't mean that infantry isn't the best place to start a military career, use it as a stepping stone to better things like SF.

everyone carries... and it depends... FOs can be stuck in a FOB for their entire tour, or they can go out on patrols... generally youre with the ruperts though... but even ruperts had to get stuck in at times... are you just wanting a pussy job with a hero uniform? sadly chef isnt an option now the food is cooked by the private sector.

What do you even mean by forward observer? Do you mean reconnaissance? If you're still talking about artillery then forget about doing anything close to what you've seen in video games and movies. A meat head gun bunny is the best you'll ever be.

Served.

Fusiliers = Cannon Fodder
Engineers = IED Magnet (Got the trade skills tho)

Go REME, do mechanic or technician.

no i want an ally job but something to fall back on like some sort of qualifications, FOs get loads of qualifications that i could use after but i dont want a pussy job where im stuck at a base or worse in an office. i want war heads on fore head, rounds down range i wanna get bigger better fast stronger but no be surrounded by muppets or treated like a dog

do P company, anything else is a crap hat. youll be beasted and youll get bigger and stronger. make sure you do a trade, on the forms before you go off for training. anything like engineer in the paras, go for the pathfinders.

read into the pathfinders pal... as in their training... if you only just make it through P company, dont even bother.
