One advantage of cyclical threads is the preservation of meme, it's the institutional memory of Sup Forums, and it's (just my opinion) an interesting phenomenon. But with too many memes, a 100 thread limit, and a high churn rate, OC and quality content is easily buried.

Fixing it might remove that memory aspect from here, might break it, though those who think Sup Forums is dead may not see the distinction.
