oh look, it's a new

Is that an eyebrow mustache?

>tfw F1 might actually be good next year

Near top for anime

Don't worry, it won't.

It will be the same shit show it is now.

British fans will spend another year holding their noses and pretending to like Chocolate Senna.

It won't.

Merc still dominant, Hamilton wins his FOURTH consecutive title

Cars are faster yes, but fuel is even more heavily managed now and every race will be on cruise control for the entire field. Overtakes will only be performed with DRS because the cars are too front-wing dependant to follow the cars in front

It's going to be a complete shitshow. Throw in the halo and some new awesome green ecology regulations and oops, F1 is finished

nth for tinder fuck

>Hamilton wins his FOURTH consecutive title

this is really only the thing thats the problem with any of that, there has been plenty of domination before, but with drivers who deserved it, hamilton doesnt and it just makes a mockery of the sport because of it

Lmao, Alonso now open for a team change? The guys is the ultimate car babby.

The mockery started around 2000 desu

ok, i'll bait

if hamilton doesn't deserve it, then who does?

0/10

nearly all the other f1 champions, there are only a few who don't

BRAAAZZZILLLL. pls translate what mad masa has done.

why doesn't Hamilton "deserve" his WDCs?

Don't bother, he just hates Hamilton because he's black. Responding will just ruin the comfy level of /f1/

BELGIUM GP TYRE CHOICES

Merc thinking of a one-stop as Plan A?

hes not a good enough driver, its as simple as that, i could go into details but all that happens is people just scream that and never actually bother to refute anything

/f1/ isn't Sup Forums. The majority of posters aren't new, so we all remember the first time you did this, and were openly racist, then picked up on every bit of negative information posted about Hamilton other people posted.

Only had an amazing junior career, destroyed in GP2, tied on points with a 2x WDC Alonso in debut season (complex situation but result still stands), wins title in 2nd year, beaten almost every teammate in his life

Sure he's never had a bad car but that's not his fault. In fact he has been extremely smart and lucky when it comes to picking teams. He even went against everyone's advice and left McLaren. He would still be a 1x WDC if he had stayed at McLaren like everyone wanted him to.

Sure he's stat padding hard now because he has a dominant machine and a teammate who can't challenge him and in that sense his newest titles aren't that hardly "fought for" but he is making the best out of the situation. Do Schumis titles with Ferrari not count because he cruised into victory with a beta teammate who didn't challenge him as well?

And don't get me wrong, I fucking hate Hamilton as a person, but as a driver its pretty difficult to argue against his abilities, and if he doesn't deserve titles on driving merit alone, then not a lot of other people do either.

FUN FACT from le reddit

This weekend is the 10 year anniversary of one of the greatest drives in F1 history, Jenson Button's first win at the 2006 Hungarian GP. It was a clear indicator of his WDC potential, a drive that makes the likes of Fangio, Senna, Prost and Schumi combined look like Crashtor Maldonleldo.

Amazing to think though, that the '06 'garian 'P wasn't even his best performance, and there's so many of them to chose from. It's hard to chose one defining drive when you've got a RELENTLESS driver who beats his teammate every year and even stole a WDC from Sebastian Vettel in equal cars.

If I had to chose one, though my favourite memory of him has to be Canada 2011, I remember watching the race, and it got to that point of the day where I was going to the pub with some mates because of all the rain delays. When we got to the pub the race was on and it had just restarted, everyone I was with had no interest in it and were chatting away.... but not me, I was absolutely glued to that screen, couldn't take my eyes off of it. then that final lap, Jenson closing on Sebastian, I think I was so close to the edge of my seat I was hovering. And then it happened Vettel made that mistake, that fateful, glorious mistake. It was absolutely beautiful. I jumped and shouted in this quiet country pub accidentally throwing my pint over the guy next to me, I was just ecstatic, overjoyed, thrilled. Truly a magical moment in my life.

Its one of the few defining moments that I can remember watching F1. Its gonna stick with me forever.

Ham will start from back so it doesn't matter. Rosberg will try get to Q3 with softs, starts race on softs, runs like 20 laps, switches to mediums, 1 stop race while Ferrari reinvents strategy and goes for a masterful SS - SS - Soft - used SS strategy, finishing 45 seconds behind Rosberg in front

>the day /f1/ died defending hamilton

christ, we might need to make a new thread for actual f1 fans

can you even one stop though? they'll have to quality on the Supersofts, and that will get to around laps 8-11 iirc. will mediums do ~35 laps at Spa?

the Merc can get to Q3 on softs. fuck, could probably do it on mediums if they wanted.

Hamilton's WDCs, while certainly legitimate, are less valid than others because it's been comparatively easy on him.
For the last few seasons, Hamilton's only competition on the track has been his own teammate, who is a tragic choke-artist.

He has won the WDC virtually unchallenged.

Compare that to the V8 era, where many cars and many drivers had a real chance at winning. In the V6-Turbo-Hybrid era, only Mercs do.

Look at the six (6!!) races that Mercs have not won since this era started. They have not yet been beaten straight-up in a normal, dry race

Canada 2014: MGU-K/brake failures
Hungary 2014: Rain and safety car oddities
Belgium 2014: Mercs crash into each other
Hungary 2015: Tire failure and crash
Singapore 2015: Power unit failure and electrical problems
Spain 2016: Mercs crash into each other

Now I ficking hate Hamilton but if you don't count his Mercedes WDCs as legitimate than you must not consider any of Schumi's either

he said they were legitimate, just "less legitimate" (lol) because of the lack of competition.

not sure what Hamilton is supposed to do about that, or how that somehow makes him less of a driver, though.

>muh """"""true"""""" fans
you mean a thread with contrarian/delusional f1 fans since most do rate him as a driver

>what is Malaysia 2015

Also pretty sure that race was rigged just to give fans hope that the season might actually be exciting. I can't think of another reason why Ferrari was mysteriously quicker than Mercedes for that one race

Also Singapore 2015 would have resulted in Merc's getting beaten by Ferraris and Red Bulls even if they hadn't DNF'd.

But i get what youre saying, they're ridiculously dominant

There's literally 5 drivers who have won a race in the V6 Hybrid era. Only THREE non-Mercedes drivers have won a race, and almost all of them were partially gifted to them due to Mercedes technical problems or DNF's.

just kill this sport already

>if you don't count his Mercedes WDCs as legitimate

>Hamilton's WDCs, while certainly legitimate,

Reading comprehension, man.

But to your point, only two of Schumi's WDCs are truly 'easy mode', where his only competition is his teammate.

1994: with Benetton, beats Damon Hill by a single point
1995: with Benetton, wins 9 of 17 races, crushes Hill by 33 points
2000: with Ferrari, beats Mika Hakkinen in a season long battle
2001: with Ferrari, wins 9 of 17 races, crushes David Couthard by 58 points
2002: with Ferrari, first truly easy season, beats his own teammate by 67 points, Ferrari wins 15 of 17 races
2003: with Ferrari, beats Kimi Räikkönen by 2 points in a season long battle
2002: with Ferrari, second truly easy season, wins 13 of 17 races, Ferrari on the podium for every race

Even though it was obviously a setup inadequacy rather than an overall package deficiency, in Singapore 2015 they were getting BTFOd on pace alone. The fact that they also had problems on top of that just added salt to the wound.

It's a meme that there's a Uno that is the most fast car in the world.

*most fastest

THEY CAN'T KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH IT

Are the Uno still produced in Brasil?

A new designed Uno. The classic one isn't produced anymore.

Aw, that's a shame. Somehow I was hoping Brasil were a land full of brand new classic Uno.

Context/explanation?

I reckon that's Nuschumi's teammate handing him the place at the chequered flag.

Its actually just 'fastest'. Most Fast = Fastest. Most Fastest is like, a double positive.

>'...there's a Uno that is the fastest car in the world'

Yes, Schumi 2.0 got a place handed to him by his teammate just before the line.

amd amx

>If it's true that Ericsson has the backing of a Swedish billionaire who wants more Swedes in F1,

Pretty sure the plan was to get one Swede into F1 so the interest in the sport grows, which in turn leads to more Swedish single seater drivers.

>Ericsson is maybe the third or fourth best Swede in singleseaters/F1 junior circles right now

Who is better? GP2 drivers are shit, Rosenqvist is unproven in higher formulae & everyone else is too inexperienced.

Classic. Already living up to his name

What's next for le mini ralf?

GP3? F3? GP2? Bearing in mind that he probably won't win either the German or Italian F4 championship.

I would guess he's going to do European Formula 3 and assuming he does well, get picked for the Ferrari junior program or something and start at Haas

Rosenqvist hasn't driven anything super fast but every thing he has been in so far (minus Indy Lights) he has been near the top, if not a championship winner.

Joel Eriksson is another promising one, currently in Formula 3. I mean he is 18 so he still has time (certainly better than his brother already though). I guess it's not entirely fair to say he would straight up be better than Ericsson as they drive in completely different series' but it seems evident that he is an above average driver based on his performance in F3 so far.

Jimmy Eriksson is pretty shit on the other hand tho

F3 2017, Kino-2 in 2018 with reserve driver role at Mercedes and after that he replaces le icelad at Ferrari.

>done almost nothing to impress

I'm kinda impressed that he pulls his helmet off (especially after crashes) and his hair is like, the same.

>F1 2016 looking like the real deal

You lads interested in an F1 online championship?

>Rosenqvist hasn't driven anything super fast but every thing he has been in so far (minus Indy Lights) he has been near the top,

Just give him 3 years until he wins and/or get kicked out.

>Joel Eriksson is another promising one,

Agreed. Looking at his brother I didn't have much hope, especially when he got two Red Bull teammates. But so far he has kinda BTFOd them.

on super bru?

>implying GP2 is kino

Niggas please, it's obviously ćïŋƹMãţiƍưƎ

>olympia threads out the ass
>literally nothing F1 related to talk about

We're not going to make it are we?

shitposts will get us through, lad

Kein Scheiß.

Shitposts, bants & sniffing sisters pants. If we all chip in & do our part we will make it through lads

/F1/ General will fight as RELENTLESS as Jenson Button at the 2006 Hungarian GP

autosport.com/news/report.php/id/125627/renault-wants-a-charismatic-lead-driver

>When I look at all the big teams they all lend themselves to the leadership of charismatic drivers from [Sebastian] Vettel, Michael Schumacher, [Nico] Rosberg, and so on, and we will need that

Good thing they're hiring Bottas then

>Daily reminder that the McLarens was the best car in 2012

What went wrong?

Spring to the face.

Cheeky Rubens used some mario kart shit and wrecked his skull.

Did he ever get his visors?

I like Felipe but how is he not the most overrated driver ever? I don't think his accident had much to do with his "loss of pace"

Junior career not impressive, Sauber career not very impressive, Ferrari with Schumi as a teammate, got BTFO (then again almost everyone else would get destroyed as well), Ferrari with Gimi, Gimi wins championship, is lazier and shittier than ever, Felipe has one good, albeit mistake-riddled season, almost wins the championship, doesn't.

I would say his hearbreak over not winning that title was a bigger blow to him than the spring. Also his career post-2009 has been total shit, getting annihilated by Alonso (complex situation which was stacked up against him but still), then lucky break with Williams and he's showing himself to be equal/worse than literally the most averagely rated driver ever (Bottas)

At least his career is done now. He is a nice and likeable guy and I do wish he won in 2008, it's just that his general career has been nothing short of a massive dissapointment.

Just think of all the Brazilian fans: Post-Senna they have had to endure:

>Barrichello getting destroyed
>Massa getting destroyed
>Piquet Jr getting destroyed
>Senna Jr disgracing the name
>Nasr being a literally who crybabby
>All those other completely forgettable backmarkers

Surprised the sport even has a following anymore

most overrated driver ever is graham hill.

>won 1962 because he finished every race and clark's lotus had woeful reliability
>won 1968 because clark died
>went to shit a year later due to broken legs
>carries on until 1975 - dumped as a works lotus driver before then, because champman knew he went to shit

>forgetting hamilton

well, he's not (effectively) a murderer. yet, anyway.

>...Rosberg
Should have stopped reading right there

... you know rosberg is the real leader at mercedes? let hamilton lead and you end up with what mclaren had for 2012 till now

I was talking about charisma, m8: He has none

compared to hamilton he is a charismatic god so understandable they used him as the explain from mercedes

If they want charisma then might as well just get Button then

Massa is a beta
Bottas is a plank with no emotion
KMag is boring
Palmer is boring
Ocon is literally who
Sirotkin is cool but Russian
Kvyat is Russian, boring and suicidal
Perez is.. kind of charismatic? Not really a strong "leading driver" type tho

By the end of the season yes. In the beginning 'no'

Total meme season though where even Lotus and WILLIAMS grabbed some victories

reminder that the McLaren of 2012 was also unreliable as fuck which is seemingly one of the reaosns why Hamilton gave up and fucked off

As much as I hate Hamilton, that's just bullshit.
Rosberg is just straight up awkward. And I'm not talking about cute charismatic 'awkward' but asperger kind of awkward.

Hamilton sells a shitload in America and Little Syria, which for Mercedes are markets much more valuable than Germany or whatever else Rosberg might work as a PR machine.

Is there a way I can see the evolution of driver uniforms/racing suits based on each team? Like from their beginning to the current time

where is little syria, this could mean a fuck ton of places at the moment?

Such is the nature of the depressive mindstate.

European F3 with Prema in 2017, then maybe another season after that. Then GP2 with Prema for a year or two.

England, of course. Germany is Little Africa.

Little Turkey you mean.

Will the britbong ever shut the fuck up about Hamilton?

I don't know, it's all the same to me tbqh.

Probably not, if you emcourage him like you just have.

Also, who are Renault trying to attract with alleged Spanish sponors for next year? Is Sainz really someone who can be a TOP driver?

Maybe Alonso? They could just be in it for the money.

Alonso won't leave McLaren before his contract is up, if even then.

If Renault come back strong next year, he might go there in 2018. I'm sure he can weasel his way out of a contract tho. Depends how the McHonda is.

I think Sainz is the most underrated driver atm, had it not been for amx everyone would be on his dick.

I'm hoping it's Alonso though.

>By the end of the season yes. In the beginning 'no'
I'm pretty sure the McLarens were the fastest cars in the beginning, too. Front row lockouts in the first 2 races, I think.

>best car
>breaks down every other race

>Alonso leaving the McHonda project now that its finally starting to pay off

I mean Alonso is a retard but come on, I highly doubt it. He is still getting paid more than almost any other driver and things seem to be pretty good in McLaren and he also seems to have calmed down a bit. It would be really dumb for him to take another plunge into the unknown after having just wasted 2 years of his career.

Renault would need to seriously develop a truly magic chassis if they wish to win championships. Their direct comparison is Red Bull and as we all know Red Bull has Newey. Sure Renault might get the engine upgrades a bit before Red Bull but still the overall fact of the matter is that if they want to win races and championships, they need to design a better car than what Newey can. And on top of all this Mercedes might still be miles ahead of Red Bull next year anyway so who knows.

There's no reason for Alonso to leave McLaren unless he truly knows the project is fucked and they'll never achieve anything. Plus he seems pretty locked down there now and I doubt Ron would want to let him go that easily.

You can find a lot of Uno drivers.
Oh, thank you.

get for Ayrton Senna
