Best metal albums of 2016

Undeniably magnificent

Undeniably winter

Never actually listen to all of it, wasn't amazing but sounded like normal insomnium

Black metal AOTY for me

Say hello to avant garde metal.

Black Metal AOTY for me.

You can fuck off. You are not wanted here.

>Lemme just cut and paste metalcore riffs over prog basslines real quick
Fuck Obscura.

utterly sublime
AOTY

I don't normally like metal but this sounds fucking amazing.

Vektor - Terminal Redux

This was great

I'm disappointed in myself for still not checking this out yet. I love Julie's stuff with BoM, but haven't been in a mood for this kind of music lately.

That's the problem with Insomnium in my opinion, they are really good but so much of their stuff sound so similar

I know people memed it to death, but just for this thread we can actually take it seriously as an insanely good album

I really like this from Witchery, short, easy to listen songs that are just metal. New vocalist is good as well.

Winter's gate sounded much more different than previous albums, although I agree it definitely has its flaws.

Kinda "meme" picks from me this year since I didn't listen to much metal period this year. Still cool stuff though.

you're welcome

Underrated

>Using le one long song meme as an excuse to write a record with only one good riff

Saw these guys in Sydney and they are so damn fun live. One of the best live shows I've seen.

Are you fuckin busy mate?
