What is stopping Mexico from creating a nuke?

Tell me one reason, ONE, why Mexico should not make a nuke right now

>Mexico doesnt have a public enemy to threat with the bomb
>Mexico making the bomb would make your country be infiltraded with (((freedom)))
>what is military budget

it's hard to make things like nuclear bombs when you are headless.

Ahem... no nukes for you, until we give you a few of ours...

1. We do now
2. It already is
3. What about it? North Korea and Pakistan could do it.

Not an argument

1) who is enemy
2) it WILL get worse
3) North Korea and Pakistan are more of a poor meme than being a country, do you want that to happen too?

To be honest every country should have nukes.

yes
every single one, but yours

can't wait until chicano spies give mexico nuclear secrets

Trump
It will get worse already thanks to ^
It will happen under Trump anyway

wouldn't mind, we're 'neutral'

As long as any cunt has nukes, every other should work to get them. Same with chemical weapons.

cartels would sell them for massive dosh

>dirty bomb by the cartels blows up the White House
The next four years are going to be spicy.

The USA "economic hit men" and the question that is: Why nukes?

i can see other nations fuck around with their powers and kill innocents/themselves
not even 3rd world countries but every country could fuck up really bad with these powers

You can't even make a functional country Juan.
Go cut my lawm.

>The USA "economic hit men"
What do you mean exactly? And why not?

I already know this

Not an argument

Good, let them fuck themselves up while discouraging interventionism

What foreign invader does Mexico even have to possibly worry about?

Los sicarios económicos. Investiga sobre esa mierda, hermano. Es el modo que usa estados unidos para desestabilizar un país hasta lograr lo que ellos quieren.

but what if the brits fuck you up?
how high of a possibility is that?

(You)

I'm gonna need a tl;dr version of that. Still will look into it, but later.

We have reserves

But we don't, which is the entire point.

What I mean is that they would make us change our opinion. It is inevitable, historically. And worse for the neighboring country. I think.

Why would they?

i dont know i thought you would know

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Treaty_on_the_Non-Proliferation_of_Nuclear_Weapons

I don't think the US would enact an actual invasion in Mexico.
The chicano population here is already more useful to you than a nuke would be.

Trump does not have Mexicans.
He hates Mexicans abandoning their country to come leach off the US illegally.
Get over it m8.

We're on good terms with the UK now. Would the netherlands nuke you out of the blue?

Getting nuked by Mexico would be absolutely the most meme death possible

Trump is scrapping it.

DUDE
WEED

its more likely than you being bombed by anyone
the chance that it will happen is smaller than /s4s/-users chances to get laid but not impossible

>le world police
And he'll back down. It benefits the US more than anyone else.

We could just ignore this.

They don't have a lot of leverage against us now that Trump is in power.

Or both.

Ok. Even then, what right does the US have to ignore our sovereignty?

No he's dumb enough to do it. When he talks about it you can tell he's genuine about it.

Solo investiga esa mierda cuando puedas, para que veas como se podría cambiar la decisión de un país.

Lack of science?

Later

Literally what makes you think the US would invade. If anything maybe drone strikes on cartels but you should welcome that. Either way, we wouldn't let you have nuclear weapon and there is nothing you could do if we did decide to invade :^)

What right does the US have to ignore our sovereignty?

>What's stopping Mexico from making a nuke

Your military budget, your economy, your weak infrastructure, treaties, alliances built around the prevention of nuclear war, the United States, and your less than competent scientists

Rights don't matter when we're stronger than you. You threaten world stability when you build nuclear arms in peace time, so actions will be taken. Probably just a slap on the hand and sanctions at first, but you would be aggressively put down if it were necessary and you know it

You should not, because USA has all the trumps.

>Your military budget
We can just increase it
>your economy
One of the biggests in the world, and it didn't stop Pakistan nor North Korea.
>treaties
Treaties don't matter anymore.
>your weak infrastructure
We already have Nuclear Power Plant
>alliances built around the prevention of nuclear war, the United States

>and your less than competent scientists

>Probably just a slap on the hand and sanctions at first
Pfff, you are already doing that.
>but you would be aggressively put down if it were necessary and you know it
Like Fidel Castro?

We definitely should, fuck the Tlatelolco Agreement

>We can just increase it
Yeah because that's the best source of funding given you're losing a war with drug dealers

>You're already doing that
Don't compare a couple of tariffs to legitimate efforts to out you down

>Like with Fidel Castro
Except no other nuclear power would be on your side, least of all another superpower (partly because there isn't one)

Aside from that Trump is blowing smoke out his ass threatening those treaties, and would definitely be willing to flip flop should Mexico just so happen to start building a nuke during his presidency

Probably the biggest obstacle here is the fact that your government has no intention of building a nuke, isn't stupid enough to make such a blatant act of aggression, and the world is currently leaning towards a climate of nuclear disarmament.

You're essentially a child by pondering why, such obvious obliviousness to reality lol

mexican "intellectuals" will just make it out of tijuana firecracks and moldy tortillas

>losing a war with drug dealers
Can you tell me the casualty numbers of the war, please? And can you tell me, who are the Mexican drug lords and where they are?

>a couple of tariffs
When those tariffs WILL, not if, but will, cause a recession, it doesn't make much difference to me.

>Except no other nuclear power would be on your side
Why would we need them, we are your allies, unlike the Soviet Union and Cuba.

>Trump is blowing smoke out his ass threatening those treaties
I believe him when he says he doesn't give a fuck about Geneva Conventions, Paris Agreement, NAFTA, NTP. So why should we follow them again?

>You're essentially a child by pondering why
Not an argument

This is a good and informative thread
Bump

>Trump
I like how people honestly believe that he hates Mexico.
It's rhetoric Jorge. He played on a base that hated illegal immigration, and so he will end up doing the bare minimum to make it look like he did something. He will prop up a shitty cheap wall, and that will be the end of it.

>really high tariffs on Mexico's exports, scrap NAFTA, stop remittances entirely, economy uncertainty that will lead to a recession, devaluation of the peso with every fucking tweet etc.
>just rhetoric

i think mexico having nukes is a good idea. it is one of Latin Americas largest economies and is the 10th largest nation on earth in terms of population.

and it has every right to defend itself from foreign invasion. especially when it's neighbor has the largest, most powerful, and expensive army in history,

go for it.
