Three down, three to go

Three down, three to go.

Will 2016 be the best year for the genre?

Wait, Doctor Strange is coming out this year?
I haven't ven heard anyone mention it

All shit

November, which is still far away.
I have yet to be disappointed.

it's at the very end of the year, too early to start marketing it now.

i thought black panther was this year and Dr. Strange next year but i was recently informed I'm dead wrong..

Three? Xmen, Deadwood, BvS, Cap A makes 4 m80

>best year for the genre
>when one was shit and another is all but confirmed to be shit
Suicide Squad doesn't look very good either

Haven't seen BvS yet. I hope that's not the reason I haven't been disappointed so far.

Let's be honest anons. Only one of them is even close to being pretty good. It's the one with the based actor.

It is

Is it that bad? Deadpool was good for what it was trying to be, Civil War was better than the Avengers films and almost up there with the first Iron Man and Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and X-Men: Apocalypse was a genuinely enjoyable film.

>Will 2016 be the best year for the genre?
Is this bait?
BvS was a mess.
Civil """"""""""War"""""""""" was ridicoulous.
Apocalypse was the average medicre X-Men movie with only three good scenes.

It was and will always be 2008.

Especially considering how bad 2006 (XM3, SR) and 2007 (SM3, FFROTSS) were.

Check out these rotten tomatoes scores

>muh RT
And 2014?

2017 will be best year, only because it will be the year the DCEU implodes.

2014 was best

CATWS, GOTG, XMDOFP and TASM2?

Pretty decent overall, but not quite as good as 2008.

Summer of 08 was also when Hellboy 2 came out. What a godlike lineup of summer movies

I never saw Hellboy 2, was it any good?

Also, Edward Norton is best Hulk.

>The year we get Wonder Woman flopping from a crowded summer and JL 1 being mediocre from creative fighting from Snyders and Affleck
>The year Marvel gets success from GOTG 2, Spider-man Homecoming, and a surprisingly good Thor 3

I can see the shitposts already

Absolutely this, DC, Marvel and Dark Horse brought their best

>Dark Knight, Iron Man, and Hellboy 2 vs.
>GotG, DofP, and TWS

2014 had no variety, just marvel quips
2008 had the two best movies of their respective sides and Del Toro

No. 2008 was the best year for the genre.
>The Dark Knight
>Iron Man
>Edward Norton Hulk

I loved it. The effects are great, Pearlman is perfect as Hellboy, and the villain is complex and relatable as a character, unlike most superhero villains.

2014 also had Del Toro.

It's a mash up or urban fantasy, high fantasy and occult fiction

Pac Rim was 2013

I wasn't talking about Pacific Rim.

Maybe I'm just setting myself up for a painful dose of told, but I really liked 2011.

First class is the only great-tier movie there for me. Cap and Thor were kind of good at best.

2000: X-Men, pretty good, started it all
2001: Literally nothing
2002: Spider-Man, villain was great, otherwise OK
2003: Daredevil, X-Men 3, Ang Lee Hulk, none were really great
2004: Spider-Man 2, genuinely good by any standard
2005: Batman Begins, Fantastic Four, BB was excellent and FF was fun
>2006
>2007
2008: Iron Man, The Dark Knight, The Incredible Hulk, the former two were great and the latter was not so bad
2009: Wolverine: Origins, let's not talk about it
2010: Iron Man 2, let's not talk about that one either
2011: Thor, X-Men: First Class, Captain America: The First Avenger, Green Lantern, pretty solid lineup by Marvel, but GL was bad
2012: The Avengers, The Dark Knight Rises, The Amazing Spider-Man, none lived up to expectations
2013: Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, The Wolverine, Man of Steel, not a great year
2014: Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy, X-Men: Days of Future Past, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, all were great except for Spider-Man
2015: Avengers: Age of Ultron, Ant-Man, the former did not live up to the hype, the latter was surprisingly good
2016: ???

But Cap and Thor are so damn comfy
First Class is pretty comfy too desu

>2008+3=2011
>2011+3=2014
>2014+3=2017
I think I see a pattern here.

>no X2

Nigga what the fuck?

06 was x men 3 not 03 silly billy
07 was spidey 3, silver surfer & ghost rider. so a pretty bad year for superhero movies.

Well, yeah, I fucked up with that one.

So.. 'Snake' started Capeshit? Why didn't they have him do Vidya movies too?

BvS was a masterpiece, Civil War was quite good, Apocalypse was pretty good, Deadpool was mediocre at best, and Suicide Squad and Dr. Strange both look good.

Never judge a movie by its trailer. That said, I fucking love the Terminator Salvation trailer so much.

>capeshit
Kill yourself

>a masterpiece

Why do people think their opinions aren't going to be dismissed completely when they speak in such hyperbole? Even if you're trolling, you're baiting too much.

I'm telling the truth, pleb. BvS was a masterpiece.
