What is the freedom?

Real freedom can only be on uninhabited island where you have to survive on your own. Life in society imposes restrictions on its members such as a duty to share, comply with its laws, distribute common responsibilities, work for survival of majority. With regard to organizations of society, freedom is synonymous with anarchy, chaos. It follows a logical question: to which freedom is seeks the Western society? Why are you so obsessed with the word "slave"? "Slaves" are those who takes responsibility for you, thanks to whom you survive. And in your turn you aren't grow up, remaining a mentally underdeveloped child all your life.

Freedom is a meme, also it's relative rather than absolute.

If someone wants "freedom" in one regard it doesn't necessarily mean they also want the freedom to murder and cannibalize another person.

freedom is to be without your mortal coil to live and to be free of reality, breathing, eating, meeting people, listening to people seeing people

it's not just without society or without laws which are only system made by man, freedom can be without clothes or be free from burden of itch or even smells

we are what we are by defining in the negative, we are not free to die per se, or rather we are not free to unburden ourselves from our physicality, this includes things that may have a "freedom" of their own such as other people

so what if we are mentally underdeveloped, if this is what society creates this is what society needs

the man outside of society is no longer man, his notions of freedom is not important to us on a physical level, we can't all be the hermit but we can all be the tolstoy, who tried to be a hermit

I think that by freedom you mean enlightenment, knowing what we live for. But this knowledge imply to overcome the difficulties. Through slavement we understand freedom. These concepts are inextricably linked. But speaking of the local chan society, people are afraid of suffering, thereby avoiding freedom, remaining mentally children. They don't know life, and are already trying to find the wrong people using these concepts. Here takes such a thing as "discrimination".

Freedom ends where the freedoms of other begin.

That's why it's so important in a democracy that everyone has a say. Because everyone has an equal say over the government that represents all people.

I don't know but it sure as hell isn't being russian :^)

the goverment represents where the power comes from, not necesarily people

every government only serves the origins of power, keys to power

the more division of government, ie, decentralization eg democracy, the more keys, the more balanced approach to gaining power

your voice still doesn't matter in any system in any era

Democracy is just dictatorship of the majority.

Democracy is inherently unfair and unfree.

The thought that a totally uneducated person has the same vote as a scholar is absolutely ludicrous.

Society needs to be led by the strong, capable and smart.

Not by neanderthals.

Freedom is something that undefined

A good freedom, is a freedom with responsibility
A good freedom, is something that doesn't cross humanity line

Lol

The idea is that everyone can decide for himself what he finds the most important.
Every person has given up an equal amount of freedom to the government so they can expect something in return.

>freedom
>society
>responsibilities
>work
>the majority
>organizations
>anarchy
>chaos
>logical

That's assuming everyone do that, though.

Democracy and freedom is a scam and a lie.

It's just a rule by the stupid people. How is that fair?

>breath
Where is the fucking freedom??

A lot of people seem to think democracy is intended as a model to encourage good decision making. But that's really not the case. It's about (the) people ruling themselves.

And the people as a whole are free to make stupid decisions.

Why are the smart and capable ruled by the dumb and weak?

>Why are the smart and capable ruled by the dumb and weak?

Le fedora meme XD

...

Representative Democracy has people indirectly manage their country's fate by hopefully having people with some amount of expertise work at the highest levels.

Just because you have democracy, doesn't mean you have faith in John Doe.

Ted the Unabomber, an American terrorist said somethiing along the lines of western nations having personal and "civil" freedoms. But not freedom in autonomy. Whatever that means. But maybe he was just a nut.

I just like when you guys are trying to philosophize. At such moments it seems to me that I'm surrounded here not by hopeless people because everyone can agree with each statement here.
Bump

>Le fedora meme
>no fedora
Get fuckt

That's a page from the book of Ayn Rand though.

It's fair because people get what they want

You get what the majority wants.

And the majority is not very smart

So how do choose a government for a whole country then? Doing a test? What abillities we should test? Who would evaluate it? Democracy works not because is a very good system, but because it is the easier way to legitimate a leader in a non violent way
