That being said, I do think it's an unfair comparison.

Consider that from 2010-2012 Grimes wasn't producing a fuck ton of material like a producer would. She only started doing music regularly after the Visions tour was over halfway through 2013.
This is apparent in the evolution of the technical presence of her albums. Geidi Primes, Halfaxa and Visions all sort of exist on the same level. Geidi Primes is arguably the most different due to the minimal amount of loops used in the arrangements.
Clams has been super prolific throughout his entire career.

Grimes earns her living through live shows and festivals, Clams does it through producing for high level artists.
Grimes is leagues ahead of Clammy as a performance artist because thats the skillset she's evolved the most.
