Anyone else feel less and less interested in sports?

Anyone else feel less and less interested in sports?

I used to be able to follow everything and watch every match, but nowadays it feels so pointless.

Same here. As soon as i started having sex on the reg i lost interest

do you still watch some things? or have you dropped everything?

If i find myself up early on a saturday, ill watch footy. That, and championship games, and thats about it

Mainly football and F1. Bored to tears of them both.

sounds like you started having sex with men.

Yep. Not into that gay shit

football is the one that i really really can't watch anymore now with all the transfer madness and commercialisation of clubs.

i know appreciate lower league football more. it feels more real

Depression?

i don't know

I find myself obsessively researching news and statistics but actually watching less games

Is it autism?

Do you bet? That would justify it.

"footy"

"championship"

agree with

stop lending your gf to every refugee coming into your country then.

ever since the Canucks choked in 2011 I've been watching less and less. It's also very weird to watch people younger than me play a sport and cheer for them - I'm almost weirded out that older men are so passionate about sports being played by people considerably younger than them. Internationally, I get it, but domestic sports have lost the appeal they had when I was younger.

why do every thread involve this cuckoldry or degeneracy bullshit posts?

what's up with this horrid obsession with memes?

yea you're kinda depressed and you have an IQ above 100, smart enough to stop supporting the mafia that is the sports nowadays.

>It's also very weird to watch people younger than me play a sport and cheer for them
i can relate to that very well

i only really follow international hockey nowadays

Why do dark, sven?

tired of this bullshit, to be honest.

I haven't followed football since 2003.
The odd match here and there but cannot bring myself to not think it's somehow useless and a distraction from more important things.

I started playing 5 a side recently, i like that.

i used to play sunday league football, but we stopped after everyone got too busy with university/job etc.

>useless and a distraction from more important things

Meh. This is a pretty slippery slope, my friend. My brother thinks this about everything, and while he's successful, is actually quite miserable. Watching sports occasionally, not obsessively, is almost on par with going to a museum at times if the play is at a high level. Playing sports is probably one of the best extracurricular activities one can do. I mean, yeah, it's great to read literature, take in film/music/etc, but everyone needs something to stay grounded in the physical and to find beauty in it.

Just my opinion.

i agree with this

sports isn't bad on occasion.

Leicester was good. Watch more cycling now, genuine madmen. Also, if you want heart from men and women watch the weightlifting. Spooky shit if you've ever even picked up a weight. Seems impossible and dangerous to health.

The slope is slippery, indeed. I followed rugby since 2003 or so but my interest is fading. I enjoy watching old matches, pre-1995. I think it's a mild form of depression or something.
