I was shocked to learn that many of the so-called "Ringo songs" (i.e. What Goes on, With a Little Help from my friends, Yellow Submarine) weren't actually written by Ringo, they were just sung by him.

The only two songs Ringo wrote for the Beatles, I believe, are Octopus' garden and Don't pass me by
