but cuckmann said it was the best movie of the year

It's not a comedy.

>In a full theater there were maybe three scenes that got very tepid laughter.

Name a mainstream comedy movie within this past decade that's been "good"

It sure as hell tried to be. Everything Gosling said or did was a poor attempt at humor. And the amount of cop buddy movie clichés was gag-worthy.

What is your point? Anyway Superbad is by all accounts a good movie. I wouldn't watch it much today but at the time it was hilarious and as a teen comedy it was one of the best of the past ten years. There are many 'good' mainstream comedies.

Shane Black invented the cliches, and mocked them, in 1987. He predicted the death of the genre in the middle of the era.

...

Then why not let it be dead and move on? The story was a mess and uninteresting on top of that. I was getting annoyed toward the end with how sloppy the story was and how I could predict 9/10 joke punchlines.

>OP lives in a neighborhood that doesn't want to see my dick
Literally a fag

Sounds like you live in a retarded city.

>image.jpg

One of the few good cities in southern California actually. Enjoy whatever slum you're currently in though.

Is that the filename when you save something from imgur?

>One of the few good cities in southern California actually

I'm so glad someone else sees how poor this film is.

>at the time it was hilarious

right, so when you were a stupid fucking kid it was hilarious. Welcome to the reality of R rated comedy movies m8. They're not actually made for people above the age of 17.

Superbad holds up surprisingly well outside the Mclovin/Rogen parts. It's a nice little story about male teenage friendship

My friends

About a half an hour in I knew I wasn't going to enjoy it. In a movie filled with gags, I laughed 4-5 times.

Did not in any way enjoy, I think I just don't like Shane Black even though I liked Kiss Kiss Bang Bang though I started having the same problem as this movie had from the start

Are you retarded? Everything you just said was pulled straight from your ass and isn't true.

>4 shitposts in one thread by the same person hating on a perfectly good movie
Literally why though? It's already going to end up losing money due to being released at a shitty time.

Short story from my experience watching the movie:
For those who have seen the movie, you are aware that the director purposefully made the movie pedobait to cater to old men who would see the movie due to >muh 1970s.

In the movie, Ryan Gosling's daughter (played by Angourie Rice) wears every single 1970s slut attire piece despite being 13 years old at the time of filming. The theater was filled with oldfags (60+) and the old guy next to me kept mentioning to his wife that "that girl Holly is the best part of the movie, she's a really great actress." Near the end of the movie he accidentally let slip "she is really sexy" and his wife froze solid and stared daggers at him.

I think it's funny that old married men think identically to the 12-18 year olds on Sup Forums.

Holly did nothing wrong

>it's not true! "adult" comedies are not made for children!

Rogen stated he wrote the script for Superbad when he was 13. Coincidentally the same age you probably were when you thought it was good.

>perfectly good
>shitposts
What are you even saying? Your post is all over the place. Some of us just don't like the poorly written two hour display of Gosling trying to be a comedian. I even like him in most roles, but he's just not very funny so a comedy starring him isn't going to suit everyone. It would have been better with more Crowe in a more serious less clichéd story.

OP (>>(You)) is samefagging hate on this movie for no discernible reason. It was a fucking buddy comedy. What were you expecting? It's well in the top 20% of buddy comedies of all time qualitywise.

>kid is looking at porn mag
>looking at model Misty Mountains
>she crashes through his house in a car
>her name is on the license plate
>says the name of the movie she was just in before dying
>it isn't a dream
What the fuck am I watching

Quit with the samefagging bullshit. I made the original post and the one under yours. More people than me might not like this Reddit tier shit. Sorry that offends you, kid. Go back to your hugbox if you can't handle criticism.

You didn't have to like it but you can't call it a bad movie without outing yourself as a mentally retarded entry level flick fan.

The kid asking them to see his dick was pretty damn funny.

The first four parts were believable in the context of a movie, but her saying the name of her movie was just ridiculous

Kiddos on Sup Forums literally don't know what kitsch is. Jesus Christ the average age here has to be under 16....either that or everyone has a combination of autism and mental retardation.

Some people might not like two hours of hackneyed attempts at humor and weak story grandpa. It's not a personal attack on you, chill out.

Spy was really good. Laughter all the way through the movie.

I knew it would be awful once they started desperately trying to make viral meme videos on youtube to market it.

the scene with hannibal buress was amazing

I'm Russell Crowe you little faggot. Apologize.

>it's shit on purpose

youtube.com/watch?v=BPyjIou1NKs

it was very good

when i saw it there was only an old couple and a few younger kids behind me

seemed like everyone enjoyed the movie

i certainly did

i mean, it wasn't laugh out loud funny each and every scene. it was mostly drama and dark humor.

i wouldn't say i loved it. that's going too far. i liked it though. it was a good use of my time.

Not really. Oh look Hannibal is playing Hannibal again. Oh wow he's a fly. Yet another lame joke that went nowhere and barely tried to be funny. Some people may have liked it but it pulled me even more out of the movie. The whole dream sequence felt ill timed and shoehorned in.

Dark humor? It was gray humor at best. Everything it tried to do it reigned itself in. Even the super tough bad guy that was flown in could barely kill anyone unless they were an 18 year old girl standing still.

Nixon in the pool was great and all of you know it

My girlfriend & I saw it tonight we left like maybe 1/2 through it. I fucked her in the ass when we got home but we talked about how bad it was after that

I live in based south Pasadena best young white pussy in the south land

Thoroughly enjoyed it, although I do agree with others I've read in the past saying the it drags in the 3/4ths section.

Also one of the only movies in years that did not disappoint me with its finale. Shit was very entertaining. Specifically Gosling.

>In a full theater there were maybe three scenes that got very tepid laughter.

Sounds like people where you live have no sense of humor.

I have a pretty good sense of humor. I just didn't find it very funny.

And it was all for nothing.

God you people must be the most insipid killjoy faggots in real life. Movie was pretty gr8 m8 don't really see the problem. There was some hackneyed formulaic bullshit here and there sure but what do you expect? It's Shane Black. I thought Gosling did a great job; you can definitely tell he had a fun time with it.
