They basically rehashed the memphis style with enhanced beats and short, energetic, often hook-less songs.
They came from a fucked up background, and one of them comes from a hardcore punk background. It all adds up to their aesthetic and their music, and that's what memphis rap is about; dark, twisted, edgy, tunes
I get it, it's cool to hate $$ because of their fanbase but I couldn't care less if their fanbase existed solely out of edgy teenagers
