No

first post best post

You seem to be confused. Rugby doesn't involve eating so the answer is no.

Of course not, they've never played the sport before. This is like asking if the San Francisco Giants could win a cricket game or if the New York Red Bulls could win a soccer game.

No.

>Handegg athletes winning without breaks every 5 seconds

MLB teams are used to playing with cylindrical bats, if you gave them a paddle they would hit 1,000 foot homers or whatever it's called in cricket.

If they trained for a year? Most likely. Otherwise no

vid related: washed up NFL player playing rugby

if we took some of the best NFL athletes and trained them for a bit I'm sure we could do well but of course nobody on Sup Forums will admit that

Absolutely not, they'd collapse after a minute because you have to be physically completely different.

ITT: dumb yuropoors who are only picturing offensive linemen

the US would dominate at any sport it gives a shit about.

>or if the New York Red Bulls could win a soccer game

Carlin Isles is literally a meme. He's not even on the starting line up for shitty USA 7s team

Constant substitution and TV breaks has allowed specialization to run rampant in the NFL to the point that most NFL players can't even play three quarters of a game with constant breaks.

If this were 40 years ago when actually athletically fit played, then maybe. But apart from linebackers, the modern game is built around fat human walls and tall human jackrabbits, neither of whom can play for an extended period of time.

No - it may seem as if they could go in and dominate, but rugby union 15s people think exactly the same and their players always end up being shit. Just look at Stuart Hogg in 2014 and SBW in the Olympics.

Not even other rugby players can so no.

linebackers? cornerbacks and safeties are much more athletic than linebackers. linebackers priority is to defend the run, they don't have to move very far except on the rare occasion they're playing zone.

so do cricket players?

the game is is about getting the batter out, batters are going to score lots of points, its about limiting how many they can score.

>At the 1924 Summer Olympics held in Paris, United States beat the other two competitors [France and Romania] in the Rugby tournament, winning the Gold.

If you gave them a month, yeah easily. You saw how "athletic" their best player ever was in the NFL.

You bloody idiot.

holy shit, those assmad frogs chimping out lmak

>american "athlete"

Do you not remember the failure that was Jarryd (sp) Hayne?

Looks like Messi a little desuhonest

Pfft disregard these idiots, if you rolled out some of the biggest and talented American football players, whom are getting paid millions in the NFL(plus other Americans doing plenty of other sports and hobbies), and took their pads off and practiced them up it would be a bloodbath. Those guys from Fiji, #1 in the world, would get absolutely rekt'd at their own sport.

>During the final between France and the United States at Colombes Stadium, French fans booed and hissed the American team for the remainder of the game after star player Adolphe Jauréguy was flattened by a hard tackle two minutes after the opening whistle, leaving him unconscious with blood pouring down his face and having to be carried off the field on a stretcher. In the second half, French fans threw bottles and rocks onto the field and at American players and officials, wild brawls broke out in the stands, U.S. reserve Gideon Nelson was knocked unconscious after being hit in the face by a walking stick, and French fans invaded the pitch at the final whistle, leaving the French team, aided by the police, to protect the Americans. At the medal ceremony, The Star Spangled Banner was drowned out by the booing and hissing of French fans, and the American team had to be escorted to their locker room under police protection.

Jesus the frogs were brutal back in the day

Isn't Nate Ebner starting though?

>big players
>sevens
Lol shut the fuck up about things you know nothing about.

You dont realize how fast these dudes are at their size do you? Carlin isles, fastest rugby player is not even the fastest player if he was in the NFL and he is not even 200lbs.

Fpbp

American football is too different. Rules, pads, time (downs in FB no downs in Rugby). We'd get our asses handed to us

>During a workout with the Detroit Lions Isles ran a time of 4.22 seconds in the 40-yard dash, the fastest time recorded that year.[11]

Sevens is more than running in a straight line anwyay.

I'd be SHOCKED if Amerifat 'football' players had the energy to play several phases of play in 7s

no because doping is illegal

Yeah football is just as much as a side to side game as rugby and the combination of speed, size qnd quickness of the NFL is unparalleled in sport. You roll out your best 7 pastey bongers and I'll line up 7 jacked NFL niggers like Adrian Peterson, Von Miller, Marshawn Lynch, Tod Gurley, Kam Chancellor, Eddie Lacey, Bruce Irvin et al. Good luck with all that m8.

Yes. As you can see, you cannot cross sports and hope to be just as good. A rugby player playing nfl will fuck up, an nfl player playing rugby will also fuck up. The idea that you can just b strong and win shit is completely false. Nfl players are probably not even capable of running for 80minutes in regular rugby union.

>They all blow a gasket after 30 seconds of continous play

>Isles

complete and utter meme player

Yeah that's the only catch, many NFL players would be gassed but some players are on the pitch for many continuous-no huddle downs and in damn good shape, they could probably hang in 7s.

kek

KEK

K E K

ex NLF players cut from the squad would still dominate. If america gave a shit about rugby wed already have a gold.

>Who is Bo Jackson

magine a prime cj2k or prime hester playing sevens. holy shit. it wouldnt even be close. any starting wr/db/rb in the nfl tight now would dominate

They wouldn't last eight minutes

He, another ex-NFL player and an ex-100m runner were all part of the US team that was knocked out of the group stages earlier today.
