They operate operationally for the love of America and freedom. Mikey Bay a true patriot.

>he needs character development in an ensemble action film

>Michael Bay as a reason

That's no reason to hate a movie.

And I basically saw it as a Cowadooty movie masquerading as a historical film, which I was okay with.

Fuck off back to imdb or Sup Forums pleb

Can we talk about how Action Jim might be turning me gay?

>bad... no character development, cheesy oneliners, quips and Michael Bay.
what an irritating sentence. all of these things are already included in Michael Bay.
it's like saying there was tomato sauce, cheese, salami and Pizza.

>Cowadooty movie masquerading as a historical film, which I was okay with

Exact same thought crossed my mind. Had to tell myself it was fictional, then started enjoying it more than American Sniper, anyway

If you let him inside you you're kinda getting a piece of Emily Blunt by proxy. It's not totally gay.

As much as I hate to say this, character development wasn't really needed here. It's a quick retelling of the 2012 Benghazi attacks. That's all.

>cheesy oneliners, quips
Nope. That Ranger that wouldn't take anything seriously and wouldn't shut the fuck up was a perfect depiction of your average Ranger. That is what they are actually like.

>and Michael Bay

You magnificent bastard; you, sir, are so brave, a gentleman and a scholar, and seeing how you are a redditor for 4 years, this checks out, so I'll allow it. I regret that I only have one upvote to give for this cool story, bro. CTRL+F "about tree fiddy" was not disappointed. Wait, why do I have you tagged as "NOPE NOPE NOPE"? Nice try, you monster. What did I just read? Dafuq? I read that as "YOU HAD ONE JOB". I can't fap to this. No true scotsman could see that this relevant XKCD was bad, and you should feel bad. You must be new to reddit, so I'll see your cakeday and raise you a karma train. One does not simply rustle my jimmies, not even once. This stahp gave me cancer for science, so that's enough internet for me today. OP is a fuzzy little man-peach, 2/10, would not bang. What is this I don't even know how is this wtf? Circlejerk must be leaking.

>A group of terrorists, spurned by Michael's latest publicity stunt, has kidnapped Pam. Jim seeks out and finds Roy living in a remote mountain cabin and enlists his help to mount a rescue. Dwight has to put down a horse.

>fedoratip.jpg

It was the best operatorkino of the past few years.

>Dwight has to put down a horse
Kek'd

>more than American Sniper, anyway
Ehh, it was more politcally neutral than American Sniper
But at least AS had actual character development and story
Every line in AS didn't feel like ironic cheese or worse

Those are some shitty bullet-proof vests, I could hit them on a lot of parts and I don't even own a gun or fired one ever.

Yes but 90's pockets tho

Compared to some marvel capeshit movie this was a quipless flick.

Looks like it covers all the organs. I have no idea why they're wearing that, but maybe they need the extra mobility and too much clothing would be a terrible idea for a prolonged engagement in a place like Libya as you'll get dehydrated fast. Haven't seen the movie.

Hey! You don't know her, maybe she's just incredibly modest
Maybe she's secretly a government-trained assassin but accepts that there are better assassins? Huh, what then?
Yeah, I thought so

That dude would have bashed her head in with that telescopic baton the second she touched his holster.

I can't believe you've done this

>Those are some shitty bullet-proof vests,
Plates weigh 20kg, so their harnesses aren't exactly bullet-proof in the first place.

> I could hit them on a lot of parts and I don't even own a gun or fired one ever.
Sure you could, retard. Why don't you report back after you've fired a weapon standing, prone and lying on the ground? While you're at it, try figuring out why infantry doesn't get issued limb protection.

I figured it would probably be the same kind of movie as Lone Survivor with Mark Wahlberg.

necessarily weak and underwhelming structure due to it being based on events that actually happened rather than it having a plot designed from teh beginning for good movie structure.

It's probably an underwhelming movie

Did you see how I used reasoning and intelligence to predict that a movie would not be that great without having to spend the time to actually watch it?
I'm able to do that because my IQ is somewhat above 100.

Has she posted nudes yet?

>thinks she could actually steal that NY cop's gun
>also believes Americans have a problem, while SHE is the one entertaining thoughts of committing a serious felony
Nogunz Britbongs, everyone. Wallowing in ignorance and acting all high and mighty, as if being an almost completely disarmed subject were a sign of success.

That isn't a bong, that's a britaboo that lived the dream for a while

You can't be serious.

>necessarily weak and underwhelming structure due to it being based on events that actually happened rather than it having a plot designed from teh beginning for good movie structure

I don't understand how people don't get this. So many people are panning it. Wtf did you expect?

We've always been here. In fact, most Sup Forumstards are just us shitposting. The fact that you took us seriously shows how dumb d gullible you are.

>quoting literally everyone in this thread
here's your (You)

This was a much better film than I expected, I could see a certain demographic that would dislike it though...

You missed my post Sup Forums

>calls others gullible
>doesn't realize the post is an obvious false flag

>the original cut was 4 hours

I'd watch the shit out of it

>unironically watching US military propaganda movies

I wish people would stop calling rough cuts "original cuts" as if the movie got censored or something

Probably one of the best war movies of the past decade. Great characters, solid acting, perfectly shot, amazing VFX and suspense.

Only the "le michael bay is bad actor" bandwagon redditors think this movie is in any way bad.

>that scene where they throw his dead friend off of the roof of that building he died on
>tfw Jim saw what was happening, turned and covered his ears and eyes because he didn't want to hear his friend's body hit the ground
>tfw he didn't know how to properly react so he just screamed at the top of his lungs at the soldiers that tossed his friend's body off of the roof

well shit, I guess I'm going to call it "rough cut" from now on

>That scene where he tells his wife, that his buddy won't be returning home with him
Shit, turns out Jim from The Office is a pretty good actor.

they're fun to watch and imagine how many dumbass teenagers will be tricked into joining the army because of this

>Michael Bay
aka, Master of Heavy Over-the-Top CGI Effects and Explosions. AKA, Mr. Splodionman

Would they release the Director's cut version?

If a person wants to participate in an actual war after watching this movie, they're a genuine idiot.

>character development
>in a fucking film about operators operating operationally

Youre an idiot OP

...

FUUUUUUG
>dat squad

Is that the man who plays Jim from the Office? No it can't be.

And a pedophile

I sorta get this but then why do I care about them or their mission at all?
Soldiers die, mostly uselessly, and as flippant and duty-driven as they are, I feel like they understand that. It really diminishes any impact of their death.

Sure is. He's also married to Emily Blunt

You lack empathy then

Did the background men storming the beaches in SPR and getting slauhtered by the dozens, blown up by artillery, drowned and gunned down not elicit any emotion in you because they had no character development?

I dont understand your viewpoint at all. You don't need character development for war films.

>No it can't be

I don't get it, why is everyone freaking out about this? He's an actor, it's his job to be in movies, what's the big deal?

Is it me or are John Krasinski and Zachary Levi clones of each other?

>Pornstache
>Jim
>Roy from the Warehouse

Based.

...

>Jim and Roy operating together

Did Michael Bay steal my gay fan fiction I wrote ten years ago?

Spooky.

>background men storming the beaches in SPR

The viewer is aware that those people have a clearer goal and purpose in their conflict. Their circumstances is also known and people can sympathize because if had we been born in that time, we very well could have been drafted.

But for these volunteer highly-trained operators in an unknown, mirky and politically unsure conflict zone, there's much less to latch on to. Without anything to give insight to the character, aren't they just the same as any other soldier that gets sent off to die every day of the week?

STOP INVADING SANDNIGGER COUNTRIES .... they don't want your hejp .... in fact your 'help' usually just results in more worthless sandniggers on a raft wanting refuge here

>they don't want your hejp .... in fact your 'help' usually just results in more worthless sandniggers on a raft wanting refuge here
No shit, faggot. Nobody that ever wanted to "help" someone, did so by invading their country. How blue-pilled do you have to be to not realize that modern wars are fought for financial reasons only.

I used to think that guy from the office was 100% average looking, I guess getting fit does work.

Loved the look of this movie. There were some really great shots in it for being all action. I'd love a cinegrid of it but I'm terrible at making them.

all of them are fat in real life. only good thing about this movie was the night scenes and the non shaky cam

Zacharu Levi would be more convincing in this role
Krasinski did a surprisingly not-shit job though

i agree, it was too unrealistic

Jack should have through an arc. The bear should have kissed the blonde when he loses his hand. There should be more symbolism (the tree house as a fort). Tonto should have learned the ways of tolerance towards the interpreter.

And the ending was just bad. Usually the two fighting sides see there is no reason to fight and they have something in common (some old white man in a dark suit to kill together), I don't get why they didn't go for that. Or the CIA guy getting killed as karma.

Why have a whole scene in an airport if they're not gonna explode some planes? Why didnt Jack saved his friend? Where was the main villain Jack said some final badass line before shooting?

(but for real though, those "serious emotional moments" were dreadful. Fucking piano, man. Just stick to showing them as filthy cynical bros and you're cooler to sympathize with, like generation kill. Ray's one emotional moment without anfetamine during football was far better)

apparently scene where they drove back to the cia compound did happened

Zacharu more convincing? You mean, clumsy goofy Chuck would be more convincing?

>How blue-pilled do you have to be to not realize that modern wars are fought for financial reasons only.

How bluepilled do you have to be that you actually think that?

America got fuck all out of Iraq and Afghanistan aside from trillions of dollars in debt.

If American politicians wanted to give money to corporations, they'd just print it and give it directly to them.

It has been and continues to be a purposeful destabilization of the region in order for Israel to maintain a monopoly on force.

Ever wonder why ISIS never attacked Israel despite being in such close proximity?

This movie was operator as fuck. I liked how some of the action scenes seemed fluid and lifelike

How 2 get bod like this. Help pls.

So how come it took months for just camrips to come out? Did Hillary personally delete the torrents?

Those were contractors, not army soldiers and this movie is anti-america as fuck

I was curious about this too. Apparently the dvd only recently came out even though it's been out of theaters for months.

>anti-america as fuck
How exactly? It remained politically neutral the entire time.

Anyone else who thought one of the operators was Danny Masterson (Hyde from That 70's show)?

>this movie is anti-america as fuck

>"I'm proud to know Americans like you"
>541 shots of the American flag (including the shot with the brown dudes shooting the flag hanging at the consulate)
>"I wonder if they can get the Broncos game"

Who said I was talking about American finances? America is a superpower controlled by the global banking system. The global banking system is controlled by Jews.

>It has been and continues to be a purposeful destabilization of the region in order for Israel to maintain a monopoly on force.

Case in point. Except America is also interested in keeping Israel on a leash. That's exactly why Israel still is surrounded by Islamic nations that despise it.

its a fucking operator movie you dont need developed characters what an autist

Here's your (you) you faggot

yeh that was fucky. It wasnt given a very wide or long lasting theater release either .

Seeing Michael Bay doing this (putting his own money, going after as a pet project etc) and rethinking his practical on-set work makes me sort of respect him now

(though i hate 95% of his work, but seeing the critics/ cultural class butthurt and feeling almost personally attacked in the cia caricature of "boo testosterone jocks" is funny)

>Broncos fans

Confirmed for anti American.

...

where's the green walls? what the fuck is this shit?

Michael Bay is a decent director who makes shit
(Pain & Gain was pretty decent though)

Apparently Bay had them build the consulate and CIA annex from scratch on set in Malta, then just blew all that shit up.
