It is a parody of My Little Pony in order to troll Bronies. Basically in an alternate universe Hasbro was able to genetically engineer small, talking, colorful ponies with a high birthrate in an attempt to market them as pets. Unfortunately a radical wing of PETA broke into their labs near Cleveland and were able to release a few thousand of the early alpha version into the wild. This early version was extremely stupid with the IQ of a toddler. For the first few months they did not do well on the streets. Then one day the trash truck drivers of Cleveland went on strike. As trash started piling up on the streets there was a massive overflow of food for fluffies and their population exploded from only a few hundred to well over 30 million. They were everywhere. Then the Trash truck drivers ended their strike and went to clean the streets. With no food left the fluffies on the streets died in droves. One day a large storm washed many fluffies into the sewers. Many sewer pipes were blocked by fluffy carcasses. This made the Mayor of Cleveland have to call a state of emergency as with blocked sewers everyone's toilets were backing up. Eventually fluffies were declassified as animals removing their rights and allowing people to kill them on the streets at will with no repercussions. This hypothetically would help with their exploding population numbers and maybe even destroy them but the damage was already done. They had already spread to neighboring cities and within a year many cities in North America had exploding fluffy populations.
