Let me ask you something brother, is 85-92 one of your only ambient albums you listen to?

...

yung lean

I just started listening to ambient recently, so yes

yeah, planet gay

Would it be okay if I reccomended you a few goodies?

Try out Bola, OP, he's one of my favourites.

This track, Whoblo, makes me feel like I've make first contact with a race of giant, intelligent bees and I'm being toured through their giant hive city... for some reason.

DJ Shadow Entroducing

Makes me feel like I'm being tossed around in a black hole.

Bola is really cool. Nice taste.

saw him in houston i was showered in exuberance

a cold front blew in half way thru his set and all festival kids went running clearing the way for like 30% of us

>SAW Vol 2

It's worth listening for sure, but I think it's pretty overrated simply because of how not consistent it is. It has some of his best tracks mixed in with a lot meh filler. I legit think 95-92 is better for that reason. It's way more enjoyable throughout.

I'll make sure to check this stuff out, thanks!

never even heard of that genre, but the title alone is interesting

this is really cool, thanks man

...

Nice list and nice to see someone on the chan being nice.

I'd add
Huerco S. - Those Of You Who Have Never (And Also Those Who Have)

which was rightly very well received this year (and took me somewhere very odd and lovely while I was under the influence).

I listen to 85-92 more but I love II just as much. Sends me to a weird hypnagogic state that no other music can (when listened in full with eyes closed).

I haven't listened to that one! I'll have to give it a try, thanks dude!

Definitely do, it's a special record.

(and I meant well received last year obvs, before someone points it out.)

Also some Lustmord has that Alien feel.

Most of merzbow, Quaristice to present Autechre, here comes the Indian, hollindagin

This is actually really nice, thank you so much! I wish there were a physical version of it out there somewhere.

a lot of the longform dubby/ambient stuff from echospace gives me that alone on an uncharted planet kind of feel
