It's a manga that's been running for 20+ years now, and it's pretty incredible. One of the things that's most interesting about it, is that the author has basically reinvented himself in his style several times throughout the series, while still keeping it true to its roots. During the first 10 volumes (referred to collectively as the "Golden Age" arc), it's basically gritty 80s style manga of purely dark medieval warfare, becoming borderlined historical fiction. but in volumes 11-12+ literally hell opens up and pours itself onto earth evil dead style but in a completely serious manner. Over the next ~5 volumes you have every bit of bad in his world corrupted and risen to full blown demonic rape-fests; corrupt priests burning everyone at the stake, packs of roving goblins kidnapping women, raping and impregnating them to make more monsters, an evil god-emporer who tries to take over the world etc. It then turns into a traditional swords/sorcery fantasy where Guts assembles a team of rag-tag heroes to destroy the five God Hands of hell, one of whom was his best friend and rival during the Golden Age.

End of Chapter 346 and now we're all caught up.
Side note, in regards to the gender confusion of the "Elf King:" apparently the original Japanese word they used was a genderless word meaning roughly "ruler," or "sovereign." Translators translated that as "king" which isn't really wrong per se, and at the time we didn't know the gender of the Elf "King" so it was accepted.

I did. Without spoiling anything, it was one of the fights I have been waiting for. Kind of like I said about the goat apostle fight I wish they would take a little bit more liberty. The animation was not what I was hoping for but it was alright. I can't believe we are this far so soon. We really are gonna make it to the trolls at least.

Chibi, evolutions usually go chibi->regular character or you use a shard (their version of fire stone and stuff) on the chibi version to evolve into a different evolution. I didn't know what it meant at first so I renamed some without the C when I captured them, most of them have evolved by now though.

Sounds pretty good on the episode, anticipating whatever fight scene comes up. Previous eps have been pretty good so maybe this one was just an outlier for being sub-par.
Making it to the trolls would be pretty nice, we'd get some decent content covered.
Gotcha. Makes sense since 2hu don't really evolve to begin with. Any idea which ones are classified as legendaries?
