In many parts of Europe it's considered illegal to build buildings taller than a Church or Cathedral.

What about minarets and mosques?
Hahaha. Shit bait but tnx for the laugh.
I see no proofs
It is, seriosusly, at least in Belgrade, western countries and some UAE wanted to build skyscrapers and the goverment was like "no way".
People were "wtf" and thats it.
Look at the pic, that temple has highehst altitude point at the top, and that something to be "respected", I guess church has waay too much power today. Do you see somthing bigger?
There are taller buidlings that are far away and builded on the lower ground.
I don't think so.That law is really retarded
As a libertarian, I believe that freedom and competition is enabled. Imagine if buildings became bigger, then the churches would have to grow too, to compete. We would have rely big churches and religion would grow.
I fail to see the problem
But capitalism promotes centralization as competitors buy each other out until there's only a few companies that dominate the market. If the free market is allowed to determine building height, soon a few buildings will have all the height while the rest will be really short.
in italy is pretty common especially in central italy. Buildings 40* meters tall would ruin the landscape.
Also
>muuhh skyscrapers
Sacialism is also good. All buildings will be same tallness but some have few more inches (churches) because their holy
Would you rather
>an ancient, handmade European piece of history, culture and faith
Or
>some mass produced glass rectangle office that means nothing
Your ancestors were debating
>an ancient, handmade European piece of history, culture and faith
Or
>some stones some serfs slaved away stacking together that means nothing
And then those stones that meant nothing became the historical buildings you don't want in the vicinity of glass buildings.
>In many parts of America it's considered illegal to be white
That's why no one in Europe can afford to buy property or pay rent.
...
...
that's actually true
Can confirm, maximum legal height for buildings is 100m. The only building higher than the limit is the cathedral in Zagreb at 106m.
This is stupid as fuck
there's a tower who's taller than Saint Peter's Basilica in Rome and it's something like 120m
