Per Capita

>Per Capita

>the number of people in your country is relevant to the number of medals the country win
per-capita is not bullshit and this is coming form me, a person from one the worst per capita medal total in the world. good luck winning a lot of gold medals in a small country if you think per-capita is bullshit.

the best athletes still come from the US rofl.

There are populations that still don't do well despite having large populations.

t. India, t. China

Hell look at japan, doing well with a SMALLER population. get fucked

Carl the cuck has spoken.

Get fucked 3rd world shithole.

yes, that just means large countries doing bad at the olympics, like my country, are just awfull. nothing that you said proves that per capita is bullshit. the more people a country have, bigger is the chance of elite athletes to be born in the country. it is that simple. that doesnt mean all large population countries will do a good job at discovering those talents and giving them a opportunity at the right sport.

The US is limited in the number of participants it can send. We are forced to send less athletes per capita than other nations. We would drown out the competition if we could send as many athletes per capita as the UK sends

>yes, that just means large countries doing bad at the olympics, like my country, are just awfull. nothing that you said proves that per capita is bullshit. the more people a country have, bigger is the chance of elite athletes to be born in the country. it is that simple.

what? the best athletes are STILL winning CONSISTENTLY despite the odds. Part of the games is consistency and rising to the occasion rofl.

What is it with these poverty-ball countries and a myriad of excuses?

the argument is that the bigger the population, bigger are the chances of elite atheles being born in the country. this is clearly true.

Based Fiji

Brazil has a higher population than Australia, Canada, and South Korea

What the hell went wrong?

there are probably tons of elite athletes out there in brazil. we just make a really bad job at discovering those talents. that just makes the situation clearly ridiculous bad since we do have an advantage over smaller population countries but we were not able to use that advantage so far, like the US were able and still is for so many decades.

you spent billions building stadiums the last few years

You couldn't spare a billion to find a decent gymnast?

It's been explained for 5 days now. You're wrong. Go back to hosting games you can't win.

>posting Trump pics

This is offensive to me. Delete this right now.

government doesnt discover olympic talent. the private sector does. american colleges with their program does a better job at that. you can only expct a socialist government such as the one we have in brazil to spend our money in useless shit like stadiums. you can't expect those people to help find a decent gymnast. schools and colleges does that and brazilian schools and colleges tournments are non-existent.

how is anything i said there wrong. How is it easier to a country with a less people to win medals in comparison to countries with bigger populations considering both countries igually good at discovering elite sport talent?

Brazil less medals than New Zealand

>Per captia
Oh wait

>How is it easier to a country with a less people to win medals in comparison to countries with bigger populations considering both countries igually good at discovering elite sport talent?
That is the problem. we can't discover talent for shit. the reason we have any medals at all is because our country is so fucking big that someone would do it. our population size is the only thing we have and it is clearly an advantage.

well not just per capita, fiji is poorer then mexico and wrecked UK harder then germany did to brazil

Will Brazil be the worst host of all time in terms of the medal standings? The host always gets a boost in medals.

5 days of explanation. You need to research statistical analysis yourself.

medals over countries population is completely irrelevant. However medals over how many athletes you send has some meanings to it.

I just can't see it that way, man. Are you going to tell me that a country with the population of like vatican can ever be an olympic force?

The population in this case does not matter because they are not winning the medals, the athletes are.

If America were able to send 3,000 athletes to the games, Australia would have maybe five total medals now.

>CHINA
>1 BILLION MORE PEOPLE THAN US
>STEAL CHILDREN AT BIRTH AND THROW THEM INTO OLYMPIC TRAINING CAMPS
>STILL LOSING TO US
GET FUCKED FILTHY COMMIE CHINKS

GET
F U C K E D

This. Also, since America is apparently 95% Amerifats the fact that we're winning should be even more impressive to the rest of the world.

>per capita is bullshit because China and India do bad, USA is just GOAT

No it means USA just has a better per capita than those countries too. It doesnt mean its less valid of an argument

There are probably literal millions of indians and chinese who given proper training and access to facilities would be Olympians. But being born in 3rd world shit holes prevents this

>explained for 5 days
>they're still trying to make this meme real
Give up already.

That is the point! one of the reason there are so many great athletes in the USA is because 1- USA is a huge fucking country with a lot of people in it 2-they actually have a good sport programs with schools and colleges (which big 3rd world countries such as mine doesnt have). the population is a factor but it is not the only one.

I love the per capita meme. It just exposes how anally annihilated every other country is about the USA's success.

Nobody in the real world cares at all about >per capita, only autists do.

>Grenada actually won the Olympics guys, Kirani James won 1 gold medal for them and that's the best per capita.

>better per capita

Can't wait until per capita is filtered

Nor is it anywhere close enough to give Australia or Great Britain any room to declare superiority. The gap keeps getting wider and wider.

Here's the flag you were looking for.

>fiji has one gold medal and the same population of delaware
>even if you won gold in every event left you still wouldn't beat fiji
>this is what australians and euros actually believe

This and other reasons are why >muh per capita is a dumb argument

There is a little bit of weight to the per capita argument, but it doesn't translate the way they argue it does
