Depends on how we are declaring "pop" OP. If we are talking mainstream, this was a damn fine release when it came out.
This is really nice. I remember I listened to this album a while back, didn't think much of it. I don't remember this song on there though, I just remember hearing it on the radio once in a while.
I think 1975 will really mature over their next few albums because I think they have some good ideas, but their executions are usually either a hit or bland miss.
