Hey bros. Need some life advice. Im a teenager looking toward the future right now. What would be the best degree that would bring me a lot of income. I am currently working towards getting into the ufc but need a backup plan if I tear my acl. Thanks

engineer

dont engineers make only 60k a year?

i'd be pretty happy about 60k a year. and it does depend what kind of shit you do, there are many subcategories. electrical engineer should be good though

Only if you're indian shit teir programmer or support guy.

First some questions:
What are you good in?
What are your weak points?
Would you take on a shitty job if it's very good pay?

Well I'm pretty good with computers as a whole. Been on them my whole life. I know how to fix motorcycles because I ride. My weak points would have to be constantly working with people. I would hate to have to deal with shitty people over and over again. Once in a while is good. I would want a career that is self fulfilling too. But if its shitty id still take it just to have fun after.

or dive into polymer chemistry

Just be an IT guy at a significantly large company. Even if you fuck up really hard, just say shit got hacked and it was impossible to foresee or defend against with the budget and hardware you were provided with.

No, I'm 30 and make 80k Canadian that's like 100 US
Electrical eng.

80k CAD is like 60K USD

Pretty much unless you want to make your own business and with absolute pure luck make a god damn successful one, I'd go with the STEM route.
A lot of STEM related degrees just show to an employer that you know your shit. Although I'd probably ignore the technology route as there are too many people in that field already unless you're comfortable taking computer science

Software engineer

Work offshore. On oil rigs if you enjoy being away from home and other people for a while

The best I can say is try and go with what you are comfortable with and if you're inexperienced or just have no idea what you want to do after your degree, go as broad as possible like an unfocused engineering degree, chemistry etc.

Right. Shit I'm already drunk but that's with only 6 years experience, you're looking at least another 20k after 10 more years, it's solid.

this.

Sounds a bit like me, tbh.
I'm working as a programmer in a bank, so I get more than an average programmer for having some financial knowledge.
If you specialise in financial engineering for example, you can earn pretty good money. You will have to keep yourself up to date, there's always new stuff to learn in the industry.
But if it fits you, can be a fun job.

No, please we don't need any more fucking idiots creating things like node.js.

>back up plan
You'll never make it in something like the ufc if you plan to fail.
Im probably just talking out of my ass though.

comp sci, software engineer, system security
>anything STEM (except math, dont study math dummy)
>Anything that leads to med school

>or anything that will specifically help u land a job in industry where you live.

I dont plan on failing. But the chance of getting injured is real.

become a programmer, they get paid around 80k i think

I second this. Crazy income. Room and board.
Just hard work.

mods, we got another one here

sauce on photo?

I guess that's fair, but man if you're really trying to be one of the best fighters on the entire planet, trying to go school just seems like it's going to make that dream 10x harder.

Neurosurgeon: Lot's of work, lot's of pay, very little sleep

Or

inside of a Convair B-36 Peacemaker. it's the large straight-winged plane in the front in this pic

damn i was thinking it was an airplane butreally look like a cocpit i was thinking a sub or something

it didnt really look like a cockpit i meant

...i dont think that is where the pilot goes, but rather the in-flight mechanic

i kind of want to be able to see out of your plane if it is 230 ft between the wingtips, and weighs like 200 tons
