Looks like saturns rings increase the brightness of the planet, since they are composed mainly of ice and water particles. Speculating in regards to this, it is reasonable to assume that since we are much closer to the sun than Saturn, we would essentially be under a magnifying glass; increasing the temperature, light cycle, and light radiation levels.
