You can dump hundreds of hours into this shit
Dark Souls. Too lazy to find pic.
I really got lost in the Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale games when they were new. They just released a new Baldur's Gate recently. I might pick it up again.
Pillars of Eternity
Underrated post
Honestly, such a peaceful, meditative game.
Agreed
One of the coziest spots ever.
Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
Fuck Skyrim. This game is a part of me and I love it so much.

Can someone explain the appeal of Morrowind to me. I have it and I want to play it badly because the story is supposed to be fucking amazing, but I just can't get into it because the gameplay seems horrible.
Build your own 'reality.'
One of the best games ever. F.E.A.R 2 is a bit better
Same here. I think that after u do more quests it will get more fun. The appeal of more factions does fascinate me as well as the dlc
Not dlc I mean expansion pack
many a feel had
Welp, there you go OP. You have to play Mass Effect.
1. The setting is much more creative. It's really unlike any other fantasy world that I'm aware of.
2. It's a bit more slow paced, but it becomes relaxing once you get used to it.
3. It lets you explore and discover things for yourself with no handholding. There was a quest that involved finding a sunken shrine in the ocean which nobody knew about until almost a decade after it was released.
4. For many of us, it was the first real open world game.
That said, you need to install an overhaul along with it. The base game has no distant scenery, so it's like you're always walking in heavy fog. I recommend this:
bump
nigger
The Long Dark. Pretty fun sandbox/survival game.
Outdated farm equipment
Ahh the survival grindfest.
sandbox?
looks cool
