Il primo giorno di sondaggio ha riservato non poche sorprese concentrando gran parte migliaia di voti su una cerchia ristretta di quattro-cinque nomi: il colpo di scena, in queste ultime ore, con il nome di Harambe, il gorilla ucciso nello zoo di Cincinnati per salvare un bimbo caduto nel suo recinto. In poche ore, è diventato un trend topic macinando da solo la maggior parte delle preferenze (oltre 75mila fino a questa sera): non c'entra nulla con il ponte ma è la conferma della forza della rete e di come qualcosa diventi un fenomeno virale. Le altre proposte in campo riguardano la dedica del ponte a Nicola Damiani (ex sindaco), al cav. lav. Giuseppe Calabrese (noto imprenditore cittadino), a Vincenzo Matarrese (imprenditore, presidente per decenni del Bari calcio), o Ponte del Levante, identitario della nostra tradizione pur essendoci già la Fiera.
