Good for you. I didn't

You want a cookie or something?

...

Leave the board asshole

No, fuck you, I liked it!

It was kinda boring. And I wasn't really clear on what Magneto's place in the whole plan was. He was producing magnetic fields to destroy buildings, I think? Why was that so important? And apocalypse never fully elaborates on what his plan is. Just to "cleanse". Why did he think angel was super integral to his plan or even particularly powerful? As far as I could tell, he could fly and was marginally okay at street fighting

it was ok.
wasn't a incoherent mess that DoFP was.
and the part in Poland was done with impressive attention to details, even though everyone had silly accents.

And why did he recruit two teenagers, two adults, and then stopped recruiting? He's supposed be super powerful and have this cunning plan but he discovers Charles' existence and jumps the gun on everything. He should have kept the knowledge of Charles in his back pocket and kept recruiting

Its like Im really rewatching the HitB review!

He was reversing the magnetic poles which would pretty much wipe out humanity.

Angel was there because in the comics he had been a pretty important horseman.

He recruits four horsemen because that is how he has always done it. When he found Charles, he found the one thing that he was missing; the one power that would make him utterly godlike. He didn't need to wait when he got Charles.

Me too. Loved it so much.

Way better than BvS and Civil War.

But the poles switch all the time. And even if that was the goal, how were the other mutants supposed to survive such an event?

SWEET DREAMS ARE MADE OF THIS

Using Angel was probable a throwback to the comics

But in movies, it usually means catastrophe. I know it's stupid, but movie rules are what they are. Ape's philosophy was that if you weren't strong enough to survive, you didn't deserve to. That is why at the end when he gets destroyed by Phoenix, he is happy. He has found something stronger, and according to his philosophy, that is a good thing.

It copied the last movie but fuck he stole the show once again

>But the poles switch all the time
We're talking complete and utter reversal, not how it's slowly changing right now. That's happened in the past a few times, and scientists believe that's what caused a few extinction periods in prehistoric history as well as the Ice Age.

I disagree. It was too outdrawn and was too similar to the last time. Not to mention how he appears like a literally Deus ex machina precisely at the moment when the house blows up and rescues everyone using literally speedforce

Anyone else cringe every time sophie had a line. Her delivery and tone were so flat.
Terrible actress

...

he wasn't a deus ex machina because he was set up before hand

Why is she running through an empty fucking-

>potato field

Oh right

shes cute though

she's didn't really bug too much desu

Post more Sophie as Jean

There was one part when she said a word and her British accent came through.

Yeah sure, but that doesn't explain how he shows up in the exact millisecond everything goes to shit, time already slowed down

>Titshot
Nice.

He was using Magneto to change the polarities to destroy the planet, including the 4 Horsemen.

Magneto realized this and did something about it.

femke was a way better jean

She didn't bother me at all
In the comics, Jean Grey is easily one of my least favorite xmen and even in the other series I couldn't stand her
But I was completely fine with her in this movie. I felt she did a good job in her role

Only my BIGGEST complaint with the entire movie hands fucking down
When she goes Pheonix form, she doesn't pass the fuck out afterwards
That shit pisses me off so fucking much
She's supposed to be completely unresponsive after going Pheonix and useless to the rest of the team
Her going full blast and then acting like nothing happened made me so mad

>I liked it
>RT is wrong
>The critics are wrong
>You're wrong
>Fuck you, it's not that bad
Jesus Christ, are you comic book tards going to act this way with every mediocre comic book movie? This fad can't die soon enough.

The dialogur in this movie was fucking trash. Its like everybody knew they were in a movie and tried to make everything as "epic" as possible.

> including the 4 Horsemen.
Where are you pulling that out of your ass from?
They were around apocalypse and protecting him, why would he want them dead you fucking retard?
He wanted to kill off a huge chunk of the population and the people who survived would rebuild the world and it would be full of strong, useful people instead of cowards who hide behind missiles/rockets, or neets

It really boggles my fucking mind how people like you and RLM just don't fucking understand his motives
Are you guys fucking braindead?

>it's a "I hate Capeshit because I'm such a fucking patrician but post in every Capeshit thread anyway" episode

i don't blame reviewers for giving comic book movies low scores, i just can't understand at all how civil war has been getting such high reviews compared to apocalypse when i genuinely think civil war is the weaker movie. there were way too many moments in civil war that were genuinely boring. the movie takes way too long to setup the plot to the point that i couldn't stop thinking about wanting to leave the first 1/3 of the way through. apocalypse is at least well timed

dude

i really think you need to re-watch the movie because that isn't what was going on at all

has it right

How was anybody, horsemen included, supposed to survive?

Either through being lucky or through their mutant powers
That's enough for him. He's only concerned about mutants anyway. When he went through the TV and learned of everything in this timeline, he learned of the atrocities committed against his "children" and wanted to set that right
However if his mutants had useless powers, he has no use for them so he's not worried about the obvious loss of life.

What powers let you survive that?

>everyone in the mansion gets saved by QS
>everyone immediately fangirls over Mystique even thought she did fuck all
>no one even thanks QS

Pissed me off so much. Literally X-Men's Lightning.

The powers of plot and convenience, like how Civil War rode on it's coattails the entire fucking movie.

Why is it such a stretch for you to believe that some would survive it
I'll give you a list just right off the top of my head right now
Blob
Juggy
Magneto
Jean/prof x
Wolverine
Emma
Colossus
Angel
Anyone else that can fly
Anyone that can shield themselves
Anyone that can be protected by those listed above
this really isn't so hard to understand

And then all these mutants are supposed to live in the wasteland left over? Why couldn't apocalypse do the pole switching himself? How was he going to do it before he met eric?

>waaah-waaah!!

Shut the fuck up. Do you realise this is capeshit and you sound autistic as fuck?

Are the horsemen always just the first four people apocalypse runs into?

How did anyone survive in Mad Max?
How did anyone survive in Resident Evil?
How did anyone survive in A Boy and His Dog?
Book of Eli?

You're making an extremely stupid argument for a genre of movies that you're supposed to suspend your disbelief for.
Grow up.

>Scott's eye beams are portrayed like lasers
FUCK NO

A couple of those movies are good enough that I don't feel the need to ask that question

Yeah, sure.

>all these blue characters
what is this, the new smurfs movie?

days of future past was better

>olivia mun
>not appearing in porn by now

I'll have to look again but I read that the pole reversals DO NOT correspond with any known mass extinctions.

I read about it back when people were freaking out about 2012 and NASA did a thing debunking a bunch of proposed doomsday scenarios.

this to be honest family member

It happens slowly, and it hasn't occurred in a couple thousand years so we don't know for certain how bad it will affect us. Btw scientists believe when it does happen it will wipe out all electronics

angels superpower is being a twink for singer
Also starring Evan Peters who loves some Ryan Murphy on AHS

Same. I don't understand how people think this movie sucked while at the same time are busting nuts over Civil War. That movie was so drawn out and bad, the "big fight" was cheesy as fuck and lame. Only part of the movie that surprised me was Spiderman. I thought he would be shit, but the kid was alright, even though his costume was shit and every line he had was a one liner in the lamest way

nah it's because mutants were all caused by the kree, and kree are blue, therefore super evil ancient mutants are all blue

Not sure what's up with the collective delusion that DOFP is a good movie. It's one of the worst in the series.

for you.

Why does everyone on this fucking board suck RT dry?
It's fucking insufferable

It's a good measure of how well received a film is.

It's it fact or law? No.

But there's clearly a reason if something is critically acclaimed.

>Sentinels got shit done every scene they where in meaning they were an actual threat
>Charles/Magneto conflict was actually well done

Only really bad thing was Jenifer Lawrence

>Why was that so important?

Fastest way to destroy human civilization, no? Just wipe it all off the map.

> Why did he think angel was super integral to his plan or even particularly powerful?

The main purpose of his Horseman is to be bodyguards for when he transfers his consciousness to a new body, not really anything to do with his plan to rule. And, besides, he's been out for nearly 5000 years, the quality and quantity of mutants was much lower in his day.

how could nur be psychic?
charles shoulda flanked
or been his horsemen and stopped him ,selfdestruct

Like I said, collective delusion. The same delusion that convinces everyone that Marvel films are all uncontested masterpieces of blockbuster cinema.
The sentinels in the future cause damage to characters we knew would be saved by Wolverine going back in time. Such a threat. The sentinels in the 70's do nothing but serve as Magneto's toys.

Xavier and Magneto help each other and then Magneto turns on everyone. Just like in First Class. Just like in X2. How is it the conflict is "actually well done" in DOFP, as opposed to the others?

Not too convinced any of this makes it a good movie.

is this legit?

luck ?

I didn't know Agent 47 was in this.

it sucked

Movie wasn't nearly as bad as this board made it out to be, no idea why the internet is shitting on it, it was definitely more enjoyable than BvS and I liked it better than Civil War too (which, again, felt like filler, just like Age of Ultron).

Heck, the Quicksilver part alone was worth the ticket, Iron Man 1 levels of awesomeness right there.

Yes, J-Law was annoying and yes, the villain looked straight outta Power Rangers but the movie was still a decent flick nonetheless.

I'm starting to think that Disney shills are actually a thing.

>collective delusion.

This. The fight at the airport felt so forced and all those shitty one liners killed any chance of it being serious at all. Heck, the whole plot felt forced, the only thing that was natural was Black panther wanting revenge

>e-celebs
Go back to Sup Forums retard

>Fuck you I liked it

It wasn't absolute shit, no one is going to freak out that you liked it. I thought a few things were well done.

It's just mediocre and worse than the last two X-Men movies (which were actually quite good) is all, so it's a big disappointment for people because of that.
