Give me a song that you think would make me say "that sounds actually pretty good".

Anything from Rustie - Glass Swords

youtube.com/watch?v=kheRL7NS33Q

youtube.com/watch?v=aVpjPuzlvus

If you don't like this track basically stop trying to like dubstep: it's just not your thing.

Here you go.

youtube.com/watch?v=d12dJbE_xxw

truth spoken.
Same can be said for these tracks:
youtube.com/watch?v=QrRcEfulv3U
youtube.com/watch?v=EzizFHolOOQ

people will try to tell you that british dubstep before 2010 is actually good but they're wrong
youtube.com/watch?v=vkVzoamYA1w

That was quite nice, the posts below your too. I guess I'm just attracted by something borderline between something just atmospheric and something that would actually end up in a club

Oh. That wasn't bad either, but it's a lot faster, is it really dubstep?

youtube.com/watch?v=qOOYn0WTljw

youtube.com/watch?v=2SUaEFfR4Ws

youtube.com/watch?v=FCSQF9KZPBE

Nah, it's just shitty electro house that started being passed around as dubstep after Skrillex introduced the word "dubstep" to the American market. Don't trust that guy.

Maybe some Skream would be up your alley?
youtube.com/watch?v=yBv4kWsi4TE

Benga made some dancey tracks back in the day:
youtube.com/watch?v=qqZJcN1G8fg

If you are into this noisy robotic kind of dubstep, try Vex'd:
youtube.com/watch?v=RElwhH7XUng

The benga and skream ones were okay, really liked tge vex'd one though.

But don't they make anything like this now? Not even outside America?

maybe you'll like this, although not strictly dubstep.

Those were okay, but if you say you can't properly consider them dubstep then i don't wanna lunge too far away from it

Wow, those distorted sounds were very nice.

these are dub not dubstep

...

Oh. But what is dub and how is it different from dubstep?

are you serious? nigga how old are you?

"Dub is a genre of music[1] that grew out of reggae in the 1960s, and is commonly considered a subgenre,[2] though it has developed to extend beyond the scope of reggae. Music in this genre consists predominantly of instrumental remixes of existing recordings[3] and is achieved by significantly manipulating and reshaping the recordings, usually by removing the vocals from an existing music piece, and emphasizing the drum and bass parts (this stripped-down track is sometimes referred to as a 'riddim'). Other techniques include dynamically adding extensive echo, reverb, panoramic delay, and occasional dubbing of vocal or instrumental snippets from the original version or other works."

dub is a form of reggae, dubstep is for 15 year old white kids from 2009

youtube.com/watch?v=WIE--qDiBLk

You're fucking dumb. It's like you could just open Rate Your Music and search for "dub", but no, you are too dumb to even use google. Yeah, I mad.

>2009
you mean nerds standing around doing too much ketamine in dark basement rooms with huge speakers in 2004

also this is probably the most important dubstep tune ever made
youtube.com/watch?v=L3Bl11Np8T8

ok clear

That one's pretty cool.

Nah. Dubstep wasn't even a thing in 2004.

retard

The earliest thing that sounds like dubstep is from 1996, by the way. Dubstep was obviously not a thing back then, though.
youtube.com/watch?v=r3QnX87Icxc

not dubstep

not dubstep

idiot

>2009
idiot

idiot

Rustie made his share of dubstep tunes, mostly purple shit, though.
Also mostly shit.

youtube.com/watch?v=amKiM5m2aFQ
youtube.com/watch?v=kKpnqP2CrSU
youtube.com/watch?v=GaHQGn8TL08

Really like that one. Probably my favourite so far.

its just purple mate

one of the best dubstep tracks ever created imo

youtube.com/watch?v=X8TbZvy2msQ

then maybe you will like this one as well, don't know if this is dubstep tho
youtube.com/watch?v=DVCshGQlM1U

nah
the basic structure of purple matches dubstep and the sound palette fits into dubstep perfectly.

I can dig it, but nowhere as good as the other one

unimportant

>meant to quote rustie instead of peverelist
good. I'm ready to fight anyone talking shit about Roll with the Punches.

COMING THROUGH WITH THE BEST DUBSTEP SONG OF 2016

any dial tone dubman in

Skrillex - Bangarang
Excision and Datsik - Blue Steel
Excision and Datsik - Not Enough
Excision - Triple X Rated
Knife Party - Bonfire
epic post dude

Don't listen to people who tell you "this isn't dubstep", most songs here are dubstep and if a song feels like it has the same kind of rythm as the songs posted here are dubstep (unless it's trap but that's completely another thing).
You may like this one or not but it is in fact dubstep
youtube.com/watch?v=mLqVFLuDHR4

Also listen to this one since I've read you like the distorted sounds
youtube.com/watch?v=owVrfk91wMk

How are those songs not dubstep?

I think he's only listened to stuff from 2011 on, and that can obstruct a person's view of dubstep as a whole

Thanks for your suggestions, really dug those songs.

holly shit
you guys have no taste

youtube.com/watch?v=K1m239hdQKY

are you stupid lad?

Not bad, but nothing amazing either

these songs are not dubstep you retarded faggots

are u doing a cheeky meme or are u genuine dumb guy

Yes, they are. Probably a style too old for you to know it is dubstep

from first to last - call 911 now

huh?

are u quoting literally all the actual dubstep tracks as a meme or are u a fucking idiot

they aren't actual dubstep dude
idk what they are but they aren't dubstep

is me

they are dubstep you idiot

no they aren't you stupid. they sound nothing like it.

You're not going to convince him that it's dubstep just by saying that.

look them up on discogs or rateyourmusic and see what genre they are tagged as idiot

Dubstep used to sound like the songs you pointed out not to be dubstep. But from 2008 onwards dubstep started getting a lot of changes to its style, to the point where some people started saying that the new style of dubstep isn't even dubstep anymore. Both styles are dubstep though

u seem to think that american brostep BREEEOWOWOWOWBRBRBR skrillex stuff is dubstep, but you are wrong.

OG dubstep grew out of two-step garage and it's very low-key, chill, with subtle wobblyness

Stop being divisive about the genre. It's different styles but both are dubstep.

"no"

Clearly they're not you daft noodle.

Music changes with time, if it didn't there would be no development and that means no one would be hearing anything but pianos, violins, trumpets and such. Just because music evolves doesn't mean you have to give it another name, moreover dubstep still has definite enough rules as a genre, that dubstep from both today and the 2000s follow.

fucking garbo taste
