So is this any good or was it just shit on because the media is paid for by sHillary Clinton?

So is this any good or was it just shit on because the media is paid for by sHillary Clinton?

best film of 2016, brother.

Bengazhi is such a CIA clusterfuck, the only reason Hillary is implicated is because they are responsible and she and bill are probably card carrying members.

Muh rationalize muh pointless war with tragedy

it was good

>Muh rationalize muh pointless war with tragedy
but those two men actually died. Are you complaining about true events?

I'm complaining about the dramatization of predictable blow back to CIA gun running in a country we fucked over for no reason other than to keep the central bankers happy.

The people need an emotional reason to explain every conflict we engage in, and Libya had absolutely none. The reality is that guy shouldn't have been where he was and the CIA shouldn't have been running guns a quarter of a mile away.

Its good, people only hate it because MUH MICHAEL bay

>The people need an emotional reason to explain every conflict we engage in, and Libya had absolutely none.
have you seen the film? they dont hold back showing how much of a fuck up it was the US staying in Libya

It's decent.

Especially when you take into account that Michael Bay directed it - It's by FAR his best directed film with his best directed action. He really stepped up his game on that front.

Honestly I don't entirely disagree with that RT score for the simple fact that it's very much a "recreation" docu-drama. You don't get a very satisfying story or characters, but it's trying to be authentic to the history. So you can't fault it for that.

It's very different from American Sniper or Lone Survivor which greatly fictionalize the history to make it a better story. This is much more "just the facts ma'am".

But I'd say it's worth watching to see Bayhem actually toned down and coherent to tell a good visual story. Even the more ridiculous Bay trademarks like insane camera work and editing during dialogue doesn't feel totally off because the situation is heightened and insane itself.

Politically it's pretty void. It's not really focused on that. Even the CIA douche who is shown as a dickhead has valid points throughout the movie.

Well, the lead character basically YELLS that at the end of the film, when ordering "Bob" to get the fuck on the truck.

No but i'm surprised you say that, Michael Bay is pretty tight with the military. Do they portray the spook aspect of the scenario or just the soldiers vs the armed militia?

people are more upset at how hillary lied to the families about the reason they died than why it happened in the first place.

Generally, when you make up some convoluted shit about a youtube video so you have an excuse to show you're a "pro-islam" nation when you knew it was a legit coordinated assault the whole time, people are going to hate you.

I think the critics shit on it because it's micheal "I love the US military" bay more than anything.

Pain and gain was better

That youtube video shit was classic CIA misdirection in my opinion. Its obvious that nobody would accept that story. Report the controversy, not the reality.

Action sequences and cast are decent enough, everything else is way too cheesy and 'murica fuck yeah'

I thought Pain and Gain was terrible and Bay utterly fucked up the material with his typical Bayness. I don't have time to go into it more because I'm about to leave, other than to say it would have been great if handled like The Informant!

And I was looking forward to it initially because I thought it would suit him.

This (13 Hours) I was NOT looking forward to, and I was surprised at how well he did it.

>I haven't seen the film
watch it. its good, honestly.
>spook aspect
they're in the back ground and they get a bit involved during the attack showing them watching the gunfight via a drone. The movie takes a big shit on the CIA tbqh, 2 delta force are sent by the CIA but when they arrive they are only there to destroy sensitive documents

The Youtube Video was "sort of" part of it.

It was what triggered an assault (but they wanted to downplay that an assault like this was coming ANYWAY, and that it wasn't launched by over zealous protesters, but launched by serious Jihadi factions who they wanted to pretend didn't exist).

There was a lot of shit going on in Egypt that this displaced in the news too. Biggest massacre of unarmed protesters this century for one.

>Muh rationalize muh pointless war
rationalize what? letting the french bomb sandniggers?

They portray all sides actually.

The spooks are sort of the "bad guy naive mooks", but even they kind of get a valid representation in the film (for instance, "Bob" doesn't tell them to stand down because Gee Golly I Just Hate America So Much, he tells them to stand down because they are meant to be a clandestine operation and they are meant to protect the CIA annex at all costs).

It's not even Black Hawk Down mo-em-all-down tier either.

One of the best aspects of the film is all the surreal and tense moments where you have no fucking idea who is a "bad guy" or a "good guy".

Funny moments where Militia just stroll up to the Operators carrying A.K.'s, and the guys are like;

>Uh...Are you on OUR side?

>Well Captain America...Tonight I guess. Maybe. Can I have a car?

The CIA was responsible for embassy/consulate security, including contracting to low rent security firm.

Hillary gets shit because the CIA tried to pass to blame to the State Department and Hillary also implied it might've been backlash for the recent anti-Islam movie.

She was wrong of course but she's also the scapegoat for what amounts to CIA and Republican incompetence, since the GOP-controlled Congress was responsible for withholding funding to protect US personnel inside Libya.

Almost like they wanted something to go horribly wrong there so the Obama administration would get blamed for it.

SHyiet that actually sounds interesting. I'll probably check it out now, thanks anons.

Le shabbos goyim face

>implying the republicans are the CIA's masters

top kek back to your blue tinted cuck shed.

Not as bad as Transformers or TNMT but still pretty meh.

>congress doesn't control funding

Don't ever reply to me again until you have something to contribute.

It doesn't control CIA funding outside the black budget you dip.

Bay didn't direct TMNT, you dumbfuck, he produced it. Are you the same type of retard that thinks JJ Abrams directed Cloverfield Lane?

Leave military kino to me

It was pretty fucking great and it's shocking Bay managed to make an action movie this tight and focused. I just wish he hadn't gone full cheese mode with the dramatic scenes.

why do people hate Bay? He has a great eye for shots

>It doesn't control the budget outside the budget

Hurr.

is your job to shitpost? Why did you come back here to pretend that this does not invalidate your point about the republicans manipulating the CIA into manipulating a situation for republican gain?

>i don't know how you survived that, but i know how we did
teared up a little desu

inb4 the CIA doesn't have revenue streams

Great fucking film. Bay really fucking outdid himself this time.

>mfw watching 13 Hours.
>mfw a big firefight against the rebels or some such.
>those blood soaked drapes after it.

jesus fuckign christtttttttttttttt

Only plebs would disagree that Michael Bay is a visual genius. He's obsessed with detail and is unparalleled when it comes to creating spectacle.

His films might not be Oscar-worthy but he has carved out his very own brand of pure kino.

>iggest massacre of unarmed protesters this century for one.
HOLY FUCK

Are you actually this stupid or are you just "pretending" to be retarded?

>the GOP hasn't been sabotaging the president by even voting against policies they initially supported

Grow up kid.

Watched it live, bruh. I've seen footage.

he really can't play a tough guy
something about his teeth and the way he speaks is pure pussy

pornstache, the aussie pilot from pacific rim and the commander of the team were all badasses though

He has his own ticks and style, but lots of Bay-isms were toned down in 13 Hours to make it more respectful I guess. Surprisingly deep view of the situation, and lots of empathy for everyone involved in the situation at Benghazi

It was true conservikino

Wait

you were there?

I enjoyed his performance, as I did of everyones performance. He probably felt the most off as in unhinged character to me

Go to bed Andy.

They had it coming, they were muslim brotherhood and palesinians

...

why did the rebels stop after 4 mortars? is that all they had?

that huge convoy made them go back into their caves

It was literally live streamed on Sup Forums back when we had egyptian live streamers. All the camera men were shot in the head by snipers in a coordinated attack immediately preceding the massacre, live, on al jazeera, and you could listen to reporters screaming for help until the local anchors were pulled and it was handed over to a british news desk to control the message.

This shit being forgotten is why I have always been wary and a little resentful about the benghazi story. Its one of the worst atrocities since the vietnam war and nobody knows about it.

fuck off kike enabler

MIDF detected

newfag

Sounds quite spooky

Besides that the really worst atrocity is that nothing that raw ever pops up on this website anymore. Live streaming has really died as a news source and I don't know whether its technological advancement that's to blame or everybody who gets into it finding themselves in a jail cell eventually, but raw feed has been replaced by utter memery. Makes me sad tbqfhmf ;_;

Posting.

That's not a huge price to pay to avoid being led by the Muslim Brotherhood

Orange and blue meme strikes again.

I didn't mind this movie tho, and I come from a country where we kind of laugh at American gung-ho hoorah-ness because wars have never been glorious, so it was nice to see a film where it wasn't all like fuck yeah we're the best and fuck the ragheads all day so much as god fucking damnit CIA stop shitting the bed and for fucks sake stop getting us killed.

>muh muslim brotherhood

Redditor or jew.

Which one are you?

You and the kikes will burn in the new Crusades you filthy fucking mudskin. God wills it.

DEUS VULT!

epic shilling my man. Globalists and anti-democratic kike thralls will be the first to go on the day of the rope.

uh huh

Pray now and change your ways to loving the one true God and you may be spared the fiery sword.

>implying i support trump

neo-Sup Forums

Its kinda odd how this movie had a very short run in theaters and it took several months for even camrips to appear. I wonder if Hillary was behind this?

Other than that, its operatorkino. Michael Bay's autism really made it great
>Bay builds a 1:1 copy of the CIA compound and the USA "diplomatic outpost" in Malta for filming
>one of the people who were there tells him one of the walls had a hole in it
>Bay has a hole made in it

why didn't nicky sobotka just get the greek to help him out with muscle?

It was a "diplomatic outpost" in Benghazi. The embassy was in Tripoli. If it had been a real consulate, they would have had Marines guarding it and no need for contractors.

>17 february commander comes up to John Krasinski's character and tells him he's "on the phone with the bad guys and asks if they can stand down"
>John Krasinski's character angrily asks him how the fuck does he have their phone number
>17 february commander just stares at him
>Krasinski's character just gives him an odd look and walks away

Funny one liners also include
>"Hello Captain America, I'm fighting for my country"
>"Its like amateur hour in here"
>"The tactical genius left the gate open"

Anyone else notice how some of the action shots looked very dynamic/fluid and lifelike? I fucking loved that

>firefight on going
>break for one moment
>one of the guys observing all angles
>see's a local casually watching a football match next door in his garden who calmly waves hello

>2 minutes after gunfight in 'zombieland'
>shepherd gets back to walking to his sheep at 2am

Don't periscope/bambuser streams pop up every time there's a "protest" (aka a riot) somewhere?

>see's a local casually watching a football match next door in his garden who calmly waves hello

>2 minutes after gunfight in 'zombieland'
>shepherd gets back to walking to his sheep at 2am
I guess you sorta get used to local militia groups duking it out at night if you live in the middle east for long enough.

I don't remember this. Where you there bro? I can confirm Bay is autism personified, but that really makes him fucking amazing honestly.

Libya is in North Africa and there hadn't been a war there before the West started bombing it

>there hadn't been a war there before the West started bombing it

Unless you count the first and second Punic wars, but I'm guessing that you probably don't since you probably shouldn't, all things considered.

>complain about movie
>didn't actually watch it

Sup Forums everyone

He makes great shots. He just so frequently sucks at putting them together. Often incoherent. Everything is at 11.

13 Hours WASN'T incoherent (because geography and specifics were very important to the material) and in dialogue scenes here everything being EXTREEEEEEM and rapidly edited actually worked for what was happening.

He was really underrated on this.

>So is this any good

it was really fucking good. shame the cast was completely unknown and it slipped under most peoples radar. it was another modern war action/drama like american sniper and hurt locker only packed with non stop amazingly shot action sequences.

>all that random fucking shit going on in the aftermath of the first siege
>"17 feb" guys all over the place popping out of bushes
>fat guys in tailor shirts running around with AK's
>the dumb fuck that blew his hand off
it truly was a clusterfuck

>fat guys with sailor shirts one-handing AK's

GUYS

who is ben gozzi

He's an Israeli fashion designed whose cheap, stylish and durable clothes have become extremely popular with muslim resistance fighters

>Explosion in the bushes right next to you

>Two shifty arabs come out with their hands blown off

>"Were you trying to blow me up?!"

>"....no...?...."

I'm surprised they didn't go full Black Hawk Down and kill everything. I loved how their "allies" just fucking phone up the hostiles on their mobile and ask them if they can stop attacking for a bit.

this can't be a coincidence

there has to be a al'armani brigade out there with well dressed individuals trained in the art of one-handing AK's

hope its all accurate. Seems plausible that arabs in a collapsed country would put money above loyalty in any possible way.
Feb 17 prob got info that CIA were gonna do a runner and realised there would be no more cash, so secretly turned against them (and phoned up asking to stop shooting)

>"allies" leave door open
>"allies" run away as soon as enemy shows up
>"allies" escort the delta guys to base and run away again when enemies show up, again
>"allies" come back at dawn when the US guys already have taken care of most of the enemies
only twitchy and those two stonerfags were the only true operators loyal to their comrades

and the translator guy

At least they try to aim down their sights. Has to be more accurate than hip firing/blind firing

stoners where alright
I chuckled when they asked for car
