What do you think about the fact that worker co-operative far out perform capitalist firms? Effectively this means that the "boss" is not only not a functioning component of the production process but actually detracts from it.
As for "get a job somewhere else" I don't fully disagree with you. I think industrial feudalism can be replaced by workers gradually building democratic firms.
On the other hand "you took a job knowing that" is a pretty insane defence of your industrial warlordism. You need a job to survive or have a decent standard of living, choosing which economic dictatorship you serve under does not justify the internal tyranny.
