VINYL RELEASE WHEN

this is good
I love my copy of Embittered Darkness. I wish Striborg would press more of his albums on vinyl, especially Autumnal Melancholy. According to his website I think Southwest Passage is getting a pressing, which doesn't really excite me too much honestly.

This is cool, thanks for sharing.
>Southwest Passage
fucking why? you would think that he would know that that album wasn't too well received by fans. the only good track is the ambient one.
I agree it's such a weird choice. I can't imagine the packaging will even be as nice as it could have been for albums like Spiritual Catharsis, Ghostwoodlands, or Foreboding Silence.
My personal Striborg grail would be the Mysteries Semblance cassette.
Listening to my In Mordor Where The Shadows Are box for the 10th time since I received it. Really good!!!
Someone suggested pic related and I'm really enjoying it. Could I get some suggestions for more proggy/experimental black metal?
That album is similar in sound to Agalloch, try that if you haven't.
I don't really get the connection between the two. Not a big fan of Agalloch.
I haven't listened to this album before, so maybe these recs are bad since I'm listening for a first time.
Windir - Arntor
Thy Serpant - Forests of Witchery
Myrkgrav - Trollskau, Skromt og Kolabrenning
I've been meaning to check that out for a while, thanks for reminding me!
iirc that album was more rocking/punkish pagan black metal, so try these:
El-Ahrairah - s/t

Absurd - Der fünfzehnjährige Krieg

Riff is so good in this track
Alright, do you dweebs know any sludge or drone metal with egypt/middleeastern themes?

>black metal thread
>sludge and doom
??????

I mean lets be honest, its all the same metal, you even said doom instead of drone
also its a one man project, american I believe
Best Burzum worship?
Wigrid comes really close to creating the atmosphere of the first two albums.
Much appreciated.
...
Albums with good use of synths? Summoning and Elderwind also come to mind.
