Gm Pentatonic over Dm gives you the 11, b13, b7, root, and b3 of Dm. So you're playing important chord tones, the root, b3, and b7, as well as some of the extensions of the Dm chord.
Dm Pentatonic over a Gm chord would give you the 5, b7, root, 9, and 11 of Gm. So there are some pretty tasty notes there too.
If the overall key of your song is Gm, then often you'll find the v chord (Dm here) will be replaced with a V7 (D dominant 7 here) chord to give a stronger resolution to the i chord.

they're usually knurled on the edges and pressed into the wood. I would try with a chisel to carefully get rid as much of the finish material around them then you can wedge them out with the chisel or a flat head screw driver, using pliers to help you pull them out.It helps to heat them up with a soldering iron too.
