>I'm 20yo. Can I still learn to play an instrument? Of course, you can learn to play a new instrument at any age. You probably wont become a high tier professional performer, but you can become proficient with daily practice.
>What composers were secret agents? Alfonso Ferrabosco the elder
I dont think I've ever seen Akira Nishimura mentioned on /classical/ before
Nathaniel Morris
Petzold is underrated
Messiaen is actually shit
Cooper Barnes
So is Scriabin part of the 3deep5you current of classical music? I am listening to his second symphony and I all hear is a fucked up mess that leads to nowhere, and he's supposed to have influence from Chopin? Top Fucking KEK.
Austin Myers
Scriabin is an edgy Chopin wannabe
Benjamin Rogers
I'm sad that there isn't another classical album besides maybe a scarce few which come close to the beauty of the Martha Argerich Prokofiev / Ravel album.
What a meme. I guess they didn't ban Beethoven, Mozart, Bach who were actually the most popular in NG. Or other jew haters like Chopin.
Lincoln Peterson
I really like
Bernd Richard Deutsch Vinko Globokar Rudolf Kelterborn Arthur Lourié Ivan Wyschnegradsky Olga Neuwirth Enno Poppe Robert M. Helmschrott Dmitri Kourliandski René Clemencic Alfredo Aracil Johann Sebastian Bach etc.
James Jones
how does one develop such edgy taste?
Camden Ross
have a high IQ
Xavier Lee
It's very jewish of you to include Bach among this degenerate music filth.
if that's the reason I'm not impressed anymore. Music has to come from the heart and be received by the heart
Ryder Turner
It was banned, it isn't no more though. You can legally play Wagner in Israel, but you may still trigger a riot.
Mozart, Bach and Beethoven weren't anti-semitic in the slightest. Chopin made a few antisemitic remarks while talking about Jewish loaners, but that's it. It was literally something like ''Jews will be jews, what can I do about it?'' after having been scammed by a Jew. It's somewhat ignorant, but I wouldn't call that actual anti-semitism.
Wagner, though, was an actual hardcore anti-semitic. Later in life he completely changed his mind and despised his earlier anti-semitic essays, but people never bring that out. Yeah, he was a piece of shit in his youth, but he turned out pretty progressive, especially considering that he was a pure-bred German intellectual bourgeoise in the XIX century Vienna.
David Jackson

Joshua Baker
Entartete Musik please leave.
Jeremiah Collins
That's a lot of garbage
Sebastian Allen
>Bach's French suites and Contrapunctus VI in French Style >Rameau's keyboard works
Why is the French aesthetic so evidently superior? I still feel that the best music was made by German people, but imho that achievent is achieved in spite of their national aesthetic. Mediocre french music sounds great, mediocre german music is instead untolerable.
Thomas Cruz
He was pretty progressive in his youth though, that's when he was a socialist who associated with Bakunin and friends.
Ryder King
He supported anarchism as a far right individual. He was closer to our current notion of anarcho-capitalism than traditional anarchism. He was extremely elitist, he held actual racist beliefs and he was obviously a narcissist. Not really a leftist, after all.
>Sort of wish that HIP hadn't killed the massive romantic interpretations of Bach
pleb
Kayden Roberts
>>implying these qualities disqualify you as a leftist Elitism literally disqualify you from being a leftist anarchist. Wagner wasn't an anarchist cause of some humanist belief, he was an anarchist because he thought he was too good of a composer to have to deal with the government. He didn't want freedom for his fellow man, he just wanted freedom for himself, since he was so sure of his superiority. Also no, traditional left doesn't really hold any racial belief. You're probably thinking about intersectional feminism and things like affirmative action.
go back to whipping yourself with gut strings whilst fellating a theorbo
Landon Powell
I think I'v eheard of Globokar, Wyschnegradsky, Neuwirth, and Clemencic, but I wonder how many of them from just this general (maybe even you specifically)
Camden Hill
Trying to remember a short, fast piano piece that ends really abruptly but satisfyingly. PRetty sure it's from the early-mid 20th century. Someone posted a youtube of it here once (probably a year ago). I don't think it was jazz but mabye it could have been. Anyone have an idea?
That's not it. I also remember the youtube video had an annotation at the end that said something like "YES!!!" because the uploader really liked the ending. I'm pretty certain it was a score video like that one though
Jack Sanders
Is there any way to avoid mega's 5gb download limit without paying? Rather annoying when downloading 50gb of classical from the OP links when it stops every 1/10th of it for 5 hours
Josiah Green
download soulseek and download individual recordings. There's everything there.
Benjamin Sanchez
yeah get a job and buy the music yourself you degenerate freeloading faggot
Adrian Green
He may be too poor to afford it, and you'll agree on me that music is ultimately a human right.
Jose Barnes
>music is ultimately a human right
???
Cameron Rodriguez
Download with megadownloader. Look it up on youtube.
William Gutierrez
Do you think that people don't have the right to listen to Beethoven if they're too poor to afford recordings of his music? No performer thinks like that, it seems pretty ethical that if you can't afford art you are allowed to experience it through illecit means. The laws should be there to prevent people who can actually afford it from stealing it.
ya brah desu 5 year old pussy is a human right if you can't buy 5 year old pussy legally then you need to get it through human trafficking rings.
what a stupid line of reasoning
Jaxon Lopez
i'ts nice to know that you refuse to rape children because it's a crime and not out of basic empathy
Nolan Gutierrez
were you also disappointed when you found out that business do what they do because of profit motive and not altruism?
Carter Cruz
lol wait, so you WOULD do it if it were legal?
Jaxson Hall
what does that have to do with anything?
Logan Evans
lol
Dominic Turner
would going through my old piano books and playing the treble part be good for learning to sight read on guitar? i'm trying to go through advancing guitarist and it's all in score, so it's taking me a long time to get through
Grayson Walker
>were you also disappointed when you found out that business do what they do because of profit motive and not altruism? Classical music is not a business. It is managed by one, but most great composers are sincere.
